They hit me with huge restocking charges after they shipped the wrong sizes. On top of that, my package went missing and it took three weeks just to get my gift card refunded. Their customer service email is basically non-functional and dealing with them overall is a nightmare.
Wasted money on a gift card from this place. I'd shopped at their physical store before so I grabbed a gift card for a family member. Checking their website, I was shocked at how little inventory they actually have. No bras, underwear, pajamas, robes, or nursing clothes anywhere. I emailed them to cancel but they refused and said to try their Amazon site instead which supposedly has more stuff. My relative looked it up but the Amazon site won't take the gift card. Complete waste of money.
I've been loyal to this company for years but they really showed their true colors recently. I ordered my usual bra in my regular size, the same one I've bought eleven times before, and it arrived two inches smaller. They completely refused to refund me or fix it. That's the last thing I'm buying from them. I really did love that old bra since it was literally the only one that worked for me.
I'd give this zero stars if the system allowed it. I placed an order heading to Canada, they charged my card, shipped it through a major carrier, and it was sent right back the next day without ever leaving New Jersey. Nothing ever reached me and I think this whole thing is fraudulent.
Motherhood has nice looking maternity clothes but their return policy is really bad. I bought a bunch of stuff from them across a couple orders, and since one item came from a dropship partner, I got hit with fifteen dollar return fees per order plus another fifteen for that single item. I also had to phone in to process it. They did waive one fee but I still wound up paying thirty to return items from my larger purchase. I figured I might need to return some things since finding the right fit online is tricky, but the website isn't clear about these charges at all. They mention a ten dollar fee for express returns and fifteen for regular mail returns, but what does express actually mean? Turns out it means driving to a store for twenty minutes to drop it off. And nowhere do they explain the extra fee for dropship items. I thought ten for a big order was reasonable, no idea the total could hit forty five. Will absolutely never shop here again unless I'm certain about keeping everything. Maternity clothes are temporary anyway, so I'll find somewhere else.
Since they closed all their physical locations, Motherhood moved everything online and now they're charging fifteen bucks per return. I had some items that didn't fit right and went to return them but was shocked when I saw the fee. I called customer service to see if there were other options but nope, that's just how it works if you want your return processed. I'm done shopping there. I spent thirty dollars on expedited shipping because I needed a dress for my granddaughter's baby shower on April 2nd. My receipt said it would arrive within one business day. I ordered it on March 30th and nothing showed up the next day. When I checked tracking on April 1st, it said the store hadn't even sent it out yet. I called upset and told them I needed it immediately, but the rep said she doubted it would get here by the 2nd. I paid thirty dollars for that fast shipping and got nothing. Eventually I got a tracking number but the package didn't arrive until April 4th. My granddaughter ended up getting a dress somewhere else. I'm super disappointed and angry. I plan to call again to get that thirty dollar shipping fee back. Honestly I'd give zero stars if I could.
This was my second time ordering with them. About forty five minutes after I placed the order, I realized the fabric was fleece which wasn't what I wanted. I called to cancel but they said it was already processed and couldn't be refunded. The rep was dismissive and clearly didn't care. My order hadn't even shipped yet so they easily could have stopped it. I won't be going back. Their service is just too poor.
