Shipping was quick and tracked which was nice, but the boots showed up in rough shape straight from the box. The black and white leather had multiple dark spots and discoloration all over them. I jumped on getting a return started through customer service and they approved it right away. Once I shipped them back, I wanted to skip the exchange since there was no guarantee the next pair wouldn't have the same issues. The staff member promised no restocking charge, yet one still showed up on my account. That kind of dishonesty made me decide to shop elsewhere.
Drove 45 minutes to a store after seeing a promotion in the mail about buying a heritage 92 lever action for the advertised price of $359.99 and getting a heritage rough rider 22 for free. Got there and they tried to ring it up at $699 and claimed they were out of the free pistol. I could see two of those exact pistols in the case though, same ones from the ad. Their story was that those weren't the same model because one had wood grips and a two inch longer barrel. They eventually agreed to honor the rifle price but refused to give me the free pistol promotion. Called the main office and got nowhere. This is the second time they've pulled this kind of bait and switch on me, so I'm done shopping there.
My jacket came via FedEx but disappeared off my porch before I could grab it. When I contacted Murdoch's about the stolen package, they basically said that's just their policy and there wasn't anything they could do to help. Apparently they don't require signature confirmation on deliveries because they're worried about too many returns. I'm out $140 on a coat I never even got to keep. Would not recommend shopping here.
I bought 7 different items and found out two of them never had stock even though one was just marked on sale. Got a notification about the cancellation but it didn't spell out which products got canceled. Had to wait in a chat window for around 15 minutes to get that info. Then when my other stuff shipped out, the company billed me for those two canceled items anyway. Had to go back into chat again to get a refund processed. The employees in chat were pleasant enough but took forever to actually respond. The whole online shopping side of this business seems disorganized and frustrating, even though the physical location seemed professional.
I placed an order for a ton of cattle cubes on July 17th with a promised delivery by the 22nd and said I could pick them up on the 24th with my name held. I drove almost 80 miles out on the 24th only to hear they had zero stock and wouldn't get a shipment until after 3 PM. It was only 9:30 in the morning. They told me to stick around or make another 160 mile round trip once the delivery came in. Nobody offered any real solution. After sitting in silence for a bit, I asked for my money back. This type of experience makes me wonder if I should keep using them since I've got better options available.
Had to wait a full 24 hours before I could pick up my order because the sales clerk said he didn't feel like doing the ATF paperwork since I bought my pistol elsewhere and had it transferred there. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. When I came back the next day, a couple of different salespeople helped me out and they got the forms finished in no time. Both guys were polite and actually knew what they were doing, plus they helped me find the right ammunition for my purchase.
Walked in to grab ammo and magazines for my new 6.5 rifle I just picked up for hunting. I'd been buying ranch supplies here for a while so I figured why not. The gun counter had about 20 different brands of 6.5 ammo. I grabbed four boxes at mid-range pricing and asked about magazines. Spent $200 total and thought I was set. Got home and realized nothing would fit. Did some research online and found out there are two different 6.5 sizes. Turns out mine is a grendal, which is shorter than the creedmore. The employee at the counter never mentioned this and they only had creedmore in stock. I went back with my rifle and ammo to ask about a return, thinking sealed boxes shouldn't be an issue. The moment I walked in with the rifle case on my back, I got treated like dirt. Stood at the register for 15 minutes before someone from guns showed up. They straight up refused the return and said it's policy printed on the receipt. The problem is the salesman never told me about the different rounds.
