What Shoppers Say About officinegenerale.com
Officine Generale receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with shoppers reporting serious issues across customer service, product quality, and business practices. Recurring complaints include refund disputes (customers forced into gift cards instead of cash refunds), misleading manufacturing claims (items marketed as European-made but sourced from China, India, or Tunisia), quality control problems (defective seams, fraying linings after minimal wear), and poor customer service responses to legitimate concerns. The brand's historical reputation appears damaged by recent changes in sourcing and policies.
The few positive elements mentioned are limited to past in-store experiences and initial product appeal, but these are vastly outweighed by current disappointments. Shoppers describe feeling misled by website information, frustrated by refund delays and process complications, and dissatisfied with the durability of expensive items. Multiple reviewers note a decline from what the brand used to be, suggesting deterioration in both manufacturing standards and customer care.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir customer service is completely incompetent. I returned a couple of polo shirts and they received them over 50 days ago but still haven't refunded my money. I've reminded them multiple times and I still don't know what's going on. They either can't or won't help figure this out. It's frustrating and disappointing to be treated this way.
The sweater itself is beautiful and well made, but getting any kind of real help from this company is impossible. I bought one of their sweaters and wanted to know details about where the merino wool came from. Sent multiple emails asking and got nothing but automatic responses that don't actually address anything. They charge premium prices but their customer service is basically non existent. Not worth dealing with them again.
Hands down one of the worst online shopping experiences I've had. I placed an order for 8 different items on April 4th. By April 16th, I got an email saying 5 items were being refunded. Nobody told me anything was wrong before this, and I certainly didn't ask for refunds. When I emailed to find out what happened, turns out all those items were out of stock. How does that even happen - items show as available online but aren't actually in stock? Why did it take two weeks to figure this out? And if something went seriously wrong like this, the least they could do is explain it to the customer in a simple email. Can't stress enough how much I don't recommend them. I'm actually warning my friends and family to shop elsewhere.
Absolutely terrible experience - my shipment got sent back by the carrier because Officine Generale messed up the paperwork. It's been since November and I'm still waiting for my money back. Getting them to respond is a nightmare - you have to keep pestering them for any answers. They promised a resolution on Monday but here we are still nothing. Instead of just sending me what I paid for, they're making me jump through hoops. This is the worst customer service I've experienced. Don't waste your time with this company. They're holding almost 900 pounds of my money and won't make it right.
The clothing quality just isn't there. I've gotten several shirts from them and every single one has started coming apart at the seams. These are expensive items that I've barely worn - maybe 4 to 6 times each - and they're already falling apart. The designer clearly didn't think through how different fabrics would hold up through normal stitching and wearing. If you want quality at this price level, there are definitely better options from other up and coming or established French designers.
