This company treats people terribly and doesn't value their workforce. When staff members correct errors and actually help the business succeed, they get terminated anyway. Management makes it clear they're making an example of you to scare other workers into compliance. I'd steer clear of giving them your money. There's no real integrity here.
After 37 years shopping with Pendleton, I'm finally done. Their customer service is absolutely pathetic. My latest purchase took 20 days to get here from their central location to Oregon. I actually asked the delivery person about it, and they told me Pendleton specifically chooses the slowest shipping option available to cut costs. For the amount I spend and what other customers spend there, we deserve faster shipping. The current timeline is unacceptable, and I'm not about to pay an extra $30 on top of an $800 order just to get one-day faster service. This is ridiculous.
Ordered a jacket as a Christmas present but got the wrong stuff. Called customer service and they acted like it was somehow my mistake. They said they'd send the right jacket. Three days pass, I call back and get told I need to speak to the original rep but she's at lunch. Asked for a manager and got someone named Caleb who seemed about 16 and just kept repeating the word policy. He wouldn't do anything to help. I'm done with this company.
My time dealing with this brand was really disappointing across the board. The products didn't impress me, the so-called lifetime warranty turned out to be worthless, and customer service was lacking. When you're dropping serious cash on a high-end jacket from a name brand that's advertising lifetime coverage, you'd think they'd back it up. Two bad situations with them, one in May and another in August of this year. May came around and I ordered a small rug. After two weeks without receiving it, I contacted support. They claimed it was a hand-made to order piece that takes 15 to 30 days. That was a lie because another customer who ordered that exact rug said she got hers in 3 days. Fast forward to August 14th, I tried placing a second order for two items but kept getting an error message saying the transaction failed and to try later. No problem ordering from somewhere else though. Pendleton has really lost their way. It's unfortunate because I've ordered from them before with zero issues.

My wife got me a wool vest as a gift, but I needed to exchange it for a different size, and they made it unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. What really got me was when my wife paid over $30 for next-day shipping. She called and ordered in the morning on April 1st, and the items were in stock, but they didn't ship until Thursday afternoon. When we asked for the expedited charge to be reversed, they basically said tough luck. Since then my wife has ordered from other companies with regular shipping that arrived before this order. Also, a lot of their products are now made in China and India, yet they still charge premium prices. I'd definitely suggest avoiding paid rush shipping with them. They'll take your money and ship it standard anyway. Something in stock ordered in the morning on April 1st shouldn't wait until Thursday to go out.
Bought a wool baseball cap marked down to $39, but when it arrived, the build quality and details were basically equivalent to a $10 discount bin cap. Light went straight through the thin fabric they used, and they slapped a cheap plastic stiffener on the front third. It wasn't even lined and had those plastic snaps you see on disposable summer caps that cost pocket change. Plus I was charged $9 for return shipping, but my refund only covered about half of that. Terrible experience. Pendleton used to actually produce quality merchandise, but nowadays I'd rather hunt for older stuff online instead of touching their current inventory.
Tried purchasing a shirt from a promotional email showing it on sale from $120 down to $64.99 on their website. When I went to buy it, the price jumped back to full price. Called them up and they agreed there was a glitch but wouldn't honor the sale price or help me out. They blamed their web designer. Also had a quality problem with a bedding set we bought, and customer service was just as unhelpful. Thought it was an isolated incident, but clearly this is how they operate. I've spent quite a bit there over the years, so this is really letdowns.
I'd heard wonderful things about the quality here, so I grabbed 6 sweaters thinking I'd have them for years. But I honestly don't know where this reputation comes from. I tested one by wearing it a couple times and hand washing it. Under each arm, it started pilling badly. I have cheaper sweaters from big box stores that have held up longer and look better. When I really looked at the craftsmanship, I was shocked. The collar ribbing isn't stitched evenly and has this odd rippled edge. There are also some rough stitches throughout. The other sweaters looked just as bad. The wool itself is cheap and scratchy. Every single one had weird proportions with super long sleeves and short body length that don't cover. They weren't marketed as cropped, but that's basically what they are. I ordered up hoping for a relaxed fit, so it was really strange trying on long-sleeved mini sweater after mini sweater. Their automated customer service is honestly a joke, and getting to a real person took forever.
