What Shoppers Say About Porsche Design
Porsche Design has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 75% of reviews rating the store at one star. The most consistent complaints center on severely inadequate customer support, with many reviewers reporting unanswered emails and unresponsive phone lines. Additional recurring issues include incorrect orders, unmet delivery timeframes (ranging from weeks to months), product quality problems (broken locks, loose pen caps, defective watch dials), damaged items upon arrival, and unprocessed refunds. A small minority of satisfied customers praised competitive pricing relative to similar luxury brands and timely delivery, but these positive experiences are vastly outnumbered.
The pattern across reviews suggests systemic operational failures rather than isolated incidents. Shoppers report particular frustration given Porsche Design's premium positioning and high price points, with customers expecting service standards that match the luxury brand reputation. Even customers who appreciated their actual products expressed disappointment with the post-purchase experience, including lack of responsiveness to defect reports and replacement requests.

Sorted by: Most recentThe official Porsche store and Porsche Design are absolutely terrible. I own a Porsche and they're making the whole brand look bad. I ordered a £400 birthday gift. When it arrived, they told me there was £72 in import tax owed before they could hand it over. Two weeks go by and Porsche finally admits they should be paying this based on their own website, but they still haven't sent the payment. They ignore my emails. The phone people just say they'll forward my messages and hang up. I get responses days later but nothing gets fixed. I've cried multiple times waiting for this to be resolved and getting nowhere. When I ask for their complaint procedures, which aren't even on their website, they just hang up. No company has ever let me down this badly. I'm now trying to get my money back through my credit card company while waiting for them to respond again. Don't use this company. I really wish I'd found these reviews before I bought anything.
Gotta say this works. Two days after posting my review, Porsche Design reached out with an apology and sent me a replacement lighter. I think it's only fair to acknowledge when a company actually responds and makes things right, so I'm changing my rating to three stars accordingly.
This is a terrible company and their website is basically a scam. Do not buy from them. I asked my roommate to order two items on October 28th and it's now November 24th with nothing received. A carry-on suitcase and a backpack totaling over £900. They didn't ship within the 3 working days they promised. I emailed a week after ordering and that's when they supposedly sent it with a DHL tracking number on a Friday. I tracked it for 5 days but the items just sat at the DHL warehouse. On day six DHL sent the package back to Porsche. We called them but couldn't get any real explanation for why. After an entire week of calls and emails back and forth, they claimed DHL couldn't understand the delivery address and asked us to send the correct one. We did right away. They acknowledged it and promised to ship immediately on November 15th. As I'm writing this, still nothing. Their customer care team has no solutions. Every time we call they just tell us to email and nothing changes.
I've been a Porsche Design customer for years and recently had a phone conversation with their service team that was absolutely awful. It's not worthy of the Porsche name. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche would be disappointed by the state of their service. Bought a lighter that nobody can fix. Porsche Design doesn't know who to send me to for repairs. Got a belt where the leather started cracking after just a few months. They say it shouldn't happen but claim there's nothing they can do. My umbrella handle came loose. They told me they can't help. Then there's a pair of driving sunglasses I left in my car one afternoon, and the coating on the lenses just cracked and peeled. I didn't even get to wear them for a full day. I've called them multiple times about these issues since September 2021 and absolutely nothing has happened. No follow up, no solutions. Called this morning and talked to some manager who actually asked me to hang up because they had work to do. That's the customer service I got. So think long and hard before buying from them. The quality is bad and so is the support. If you want sunglasses, go with Maui Jim instead.
I have two pairs of Porsche Design reading glasses. While washing my car with a pressure washer, the nose bridge fell off the pair that hangs around my neck. I asked if they could send me a replacement nose bridge and they said no. Premium brand with zero regard for customer service apparently. We're only talking about a £2 plastic piece here, Porsche. I also have their coffee maker and kettle that I won't be replacing because of your attitude toward loyal customers.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. I ordered two jackets that arrived late. I returned them the next day and it took over two and a half weeks to get to them. Then the refund took forever coming back to me. They're basically thieves. They keep making excuses about Brexit and timing, which isn't acceptable. When I called them, which cost me money since they don't have UK numbers, they literally laughed at me when I asked where my money was. Still didn't get my £400 back. I've called multiple times and can't get the right person. International calls to Germany aren't cheap. PayPal got involved but it's still not helping much. After a month and a half I finally got my £418 refund, but it was a nightmare getting there. It took emails to PayPal, emails to Porsche Design, and so much of my time and energy. Please don't use this company. They're poorly organized and it was incredibly stressful.
Should've read the reviews first before ordering. I bought a gift on November 23rd and just got an email today saying it's delayed (big surprise there) and it'll take even longer to arrive (the event this was for is already over). I'm speechless that a company the size of Porsche can't hire five people to properly run a simple online store. This isn't rocket science. They could easily organize this right. Cyber Week is a terrible excuse since it happens the same time every single year. Get your act together or stop selling online.
Really unhappy with this purchase. I ordered a £65 advent calendar as a gift for my brother who loves Porsche. Placed the order on November 19th and was told it would arrive in 5 business days. That didn't happen at all. UPS didn't even receive the package until November 29th, and then they said it wouldn't get to me until December 3rd. Ten days just to wrap and ship an advent calendar? This is terrible service.
This has to be among the worst online shopping experiences I've had. I ordered a Porsche Design lighter and got sent something completely different. The sloppiness in filling this basic order is just shocking. I reached out to customer service right away, before heading out for summer vacation, but they took forever to respond. Now I'm stuck with the wrong item and can't return it until after the holidays. Looking at the other reviews about their return process scares me even more about sending this back. Wish I'd checked here first 😔
Very disappointed with how they handle returns. I bought a pair of trousers on sale that were too big, so I sent them back. It's now been almost two months and my parcel is still stuck with the shipping carrier. Porsche Design refuses to take responsibility, blaming their logistics partner instead of fixing the problem. I still don't have my refund. If you order from them online, be prepared for weak logistics and unhelpful customer service reps who won't stand behind their products.
