I got confirmation that they arrived, then only got a refund for one of the two items days later. Both were in the same package but customer service claimed they sometimes process refunds five days apart. That makes no sense whatsoever. A support ticket is open but I'm still waiting for my money. The incompetence here is astounding.
Shopped at the downtown Toronto location and the store manager Chloe was absolutely fantastic and very supportive of my needs. I'm giving four stars instead of five because one employee was quite dismissive when I asked about discount promotions. Chloe found out about the interaction and actually apologized on behalf of the team. Despite that one interaction, Chloe really made my visit worthwhile and I left satisfied.
Met an outstanding sales associate named Lupita at the Southgate Centre location in Edmonton recently. She was genuinely warm, personable and incredibly helpful in ways I haven't experienced at other clothing stores. Her enthusiasm and genuine care for customers is infectious and she's clearly in the right position. She should definitely be considered for a management role at that store. Thank you for providing such wonderful service!
Ordered a gift card on December 5th thinking it would arrive by Christmas. The website promised delivery in four to nine business days. When I called customer service on December 19th, they informed me the card hadn't even been sent yet. Now I had to scramble last minute to find another gift option. Why does the site say four to nine days if that's not realistic? Why didn't I get notified by email or during checkout that delivery wouldn't happen in that timeframe? This shows a lack of respect for customer needs and expectations.
Shipping time is way too long. I placed my order in late September and it wasn't supposed to arrive until early October. I've gotten packages from overseas faster than this. Very disappointed since I was hoping to get these items for the holidays and they won't arrive in time. Customer service wasn't helpful when I called either just gave me the runaround.
I tried on a grey blazer in the fitting room and went to look for a matching sweater on the floor. A staff member stopped helping another customer at the register and approached me asking if that was my jacket. When I said it was from the store, she just said it looked nice and went back. My purse and winter coat were still in the fitting room, so it was pretty obvious I wasn't stealing anything. I felt judged and offended by the accusation without her taking a second to observe the situation. I did end up buying both the jacket and a striped sweater, but the service left a bad taste. This happened at the South Surrey location.
The items look decent online and even in person, but the construction is terrible once you inspect them closely. I had pants where the seams were positioned wrong and poorly finished tops. After washing one pair of pants, they shrank so much they became unwearable. For the prices charged, the quality is laughable. Everything feels like cheap labor and cheap manufacturing. I won't be shopping there again.
I do like their clothing selection but their website is painfully slow. Every time I try to access my wishlist the page crashes and when I reached out to get help they basically didn't care. It's incredibly frustrating trying to shop there online.
The checkout experience was completely unacceptable. The customer ahead of me left items on the counter while browsing and chatting on her phone. The cashier just kept ringing her up while letting the line behind me get longer and longer. I asked if someone else could help process my purchase and was told everyone was busy. I asked again since I was stuck waiting for this customer to finish shopping while holding up others. The cashier clearly doesn't understand that you can't make a line of customers wait while one person continues browsing. It was infuriating and I almost walked out without buying anything. This is the worst customer management I've ever seen and I'm not eager to return.
Ordered several items including one from what appears to be an affiliated company. Everything went through the same website and order process but when I tried to return the item, I hit a dead end. The store says they don't handle returns for that brand and that it's a separate company. The website version says the same thing even though it's all on the Reitmans page. I sent emails and got three generic responses over the course of weeks saying my refund request was received and not to submit again. This week I got notified that the request was closed with zero chance to reply or speak to an actual person. The lack of accountability is infuriating.
