Quality has really declined here. I spent over five hundred dollars online recently on clearance items for my mom and myself, and the whole experience was frustrating. The sizing is all over the place one large fits like an extra large while another fits like a medium. I got items that fit perfectly but shrank noticeably after one wash on gentle cycle with cold water and hang drying. The jewelry is honestly worse than five and dime store quality despite being marked at high prices before the discount. The sunglasses I ordered fell apart within three weeks. I had to make multiple trips to physical stores to return things which was a hassle. The actual staff members were wonderful and helpful, but the products themselves are poor quality and cheap. I've wasted so much money on items that either don't work or fall apart after minimal use. The website descriptions and photos seem misleading. My honest reviews keep getting rejected when I try posting them online.
Had a wonderful shopping experience last Friday in January at the Shawnessy location. It had been almost two months since my last visit and I was happy to work with the same associate again. She really knows her stuff and picked out some gorgeous sweaters and coordinating accessories that were perfect. She takes such care with customers and represents the company beautifully. She definitely goes above and beyond. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Would give zero stars if possible. Visited the location at Mayflower Mall in Sydney, Nova Scotia and it was awful. Four staff members on the floor didn't acknowledge my arrival in an otherwise empty store. No one explained anything about the sale going on. I decided to try a few things on by myself and found a t shirt I liked. When I went to pay, the cashier told me I had to buy two even though it was the only one in my size. When I pointed this out, she just shrugged and I left. The online store sells the same product as a single item which makes this even more ridiculous. Hands down the worst service in the entire shopping center.
Cheap, outdated clothing that doesn't match the inclusive size messaging they claim to promote. When I worked there in my early twenties, we were pushed to wear tight black dresses supposedly to grab the CEO's attention away from store problems. Management expected us to work at unrealistic speeds doing the job of multiple people so they could avoid hiring and paying fairly. The workplace culture back then was toxic, especially from certain managers who bullied staff about appearance. We were made temp managers but paid like regular employees. It's a shame because Smart Set closed for a reason and this company hasn't learned.
My partner and I went into the Woodstock location after five pm when the store was basically empty. Both employees were visibly not busy yet completely ignored us. We walked around for a while and got within five feet of each staff member multiple times without a single acknowledgment. As a young adult, this made us feel unwelcome and left no reason for us to return. This reflects poor training from management. I understand we may not be the target demographic but that shouldn't result in being invisible. The only color that should matter in retail is the color of money.
