What Shoppers Say About Satechi
Satechi receives highly polarized reviews, with shoppers either praising exceptional customer service or expressing frustration with product quality and checkout issues. Those satisfied with their experience highlight responsive support staff who go beyond expectations, quick shipping, and good value for accessories like keyboards and adapters. However, a significant portion of reviewers report quality concerns with wireless peripherals, including unresponsive mice that require multiple clicks and keyboards with slow Bluetooth reconnection times. Several shoppers also complain about unexpected tax charges that substantially increased final prices without clear disclosure during checkout, and delayed shipments.
The store appears to have a strength in customer service recovery but struggles with product reliability and transparent pricing communication. Common issues include connectivity problems with Bluetooth devices, durability concerns even after extended use, and frustration with the ordering and delivery process. Some customers appreciate Satechi as a more affordable alternative to premium brands like Apple, though quality comparisons suggest products align more closely with mid-tier competitors.

Sorted by: Most recentBought the Satechi Slim W1 Wired USB-C Backlit Keyboard at a store while traveling and discovered it has a defect where single key presses trigger multiple characters due to a bouncing issue. I only noticed this after getting home, so I couldn't return it to where I bought it. Keyboards have been around forever, so you'd think in recent years companies like Satechi would nail the basics of preventing key bounce. Unfortunately this model has exactly that problem. To their credit, Satechi agreed to replace it free even though I bought it overseas, though they made a point of saying this was an exception. I did warn them that the issue seems baked into the design itself, not just my unit. Their customer service wasn't as bad as I feared, but I'm frustrated that I have to use workaround software on my Mac to fix a design flaw that shouldn't exist in the first place.
They gave me wrong information about taxes when I bought something to ship overseas. Then my package went missing, and after weeks of back-and-forth emails they refused to give me a refund or replace the product. I'm out $100 and their customer service is unacceptable.
Fantastic customer service! I got a Satechi X1 Slim Keyboard in March, and after three months some keys quit working. I contacted them through their website chat and they handled it right away. They asked for my receipt, a video of the issue, and my shipping address, then sent me a replacement that arrived just two days later! I've been using Satechi products for three years now and plan to continue for years to come.
Outstanding customer support! I had a couple of problems with my order but their staff made the whole experience great. Their team was so responsive and helpful that I actually searched online specifically to give them a positive review! I'm not sure if other reviews are fake or if the company overhauled their customer service, but the experience I had seems like it came from a completely different company. I've dealt with their team three times (pre-order, order, and support) and every single time they were quick, courteous, clear, and open to my feedback. Shopping at Satechi feels safe to me now. If something goes wrong, they'll fix it.
Absolutely terrible experience with their customer service. They simply don't respond to emails, and while they have a voicemail system, nobody ever calls back. I'd strongly advise staying away from this company.
Really disappointed with the construction on this one. I ordered what was supposed to be an aluminium product at a price point matching that description, but the actual product had a plastic body and was incredibly poorly made. The components literally fell apart when I first pulled it out of a USB port.
Really solid customer support and quality products. I grabbed a backlit keyboard from a retailer online. It's the best keyboard I've ever owned, but after several months something went wrong that made it unusable. Their support team responded super quickly and thoroughly, then sent me a replacement at no cost without even asking me to ship the old one back. Great support overall, nice product, though I do wonder about long-term durability.
Ordered a simple hub adapter from Satechi thinking it would arrive fast. I paid an extra $40 for rush shipping. Instead of getting it via courier like I expected, they mailed it out regular. A week passes and it's still not here, but I needed it so badly I just went to a local shop and bought one instead. On top of that, the person who answered when I called was rude. Skip this company.
One of the worst dongle experiences I've had. Bought the Satechi 3.1 USB-C adapter and it worked great at first (though it does feel flimsy and isn't even the right color). Three days in and it stopped working completely. Only the charging port functions now. I won't be buying another Satechi product ever.
