Shoe Sensation Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Shoe Sensation
Shoe Sensation receives sharply polarized feedback, with shoppers either praising exceptional in-store service or criticizing poor execution on sales promotions and online ordering. Positive reviews highlight individual staff members, particularly managers and sales associates who provide attentive, unhurried assistance without being pushy. Reviewers consistently mention specific locations and employees by name, suggesting that experience varies significantly by store. Negative reviews focus on misleading signage for sales promotions that aren't actually valid, failed online ordering and in-store pickup experiences with poor inventory communication, and inconsistent customer service where staff ignore customers entirely.
The store's reputation appears heavily dependent on location and individual employee effort rather than consistent company-wide standards. While some customers describe their visits as genuinely wonderful and say they plan to return, others report confusing promotions, inattentive service, and frustration with the online ordering system. The polarized ratings suggest that Shoe Sensation excels when properly staffed and managed but struggles with operational consistency, signage accuracy, and fulfilling online orders.

Sorted by: Most recentStopped by the local Shoe Sensation location and had such a wonderful time. One of their staff members, Emily, was absolutely fantastic. She was respectful and genuinely kind, took her time helping me out, and showed me tons of options without rushing. I haven't seen customer service like that in a long time from someone so young. You should definitely consider giving her recognition for how great she is!
I really like shopping at the Clinton location. The staff there are so friendly and willing to help without being pushy about it. The manager is always around helping out and answering questions. This store is wonderful with great people working there. I'll definitely be back and I'd encourage other people to check it out.
Went shopping last week and found a pair of Skechers I wanted. There was a sign saying buy one get one half off, so I grabbed two pairs. At the register the employee said the deal wasn't actually running that day, different shoes were on sale. I asked why the sign was still up for the Skechers and she said they forgot to take it down. When I asked if they'd honor it since it was their mistake, they refused. I'll head to Kohl's next time. Lesson learned.
I'd skip the online ordering for in-store pickup option. The website doesn't show whether your closest location actually has items in stock, so you order thinking they'll have it ready. That's not how it works. Plus there's no rush to process your order and communication from the store is basically nonexistent. The tracking info they give you doesn't even tell you the carrier and clicking the tracking link goes nowhere. I dropped two hundred dollars on something that took twice as long as ordering from a competitor would've. I won't be ordering from them again.
Which store location really matters when you shop here. I had a fantastic experience at the St. Mary's location in Ohio where Nicole and Sandy really went out of their way to make sure I had a great time shopping. Unfortunately that's not always the case, especially at a store that's much closer to where I live.
My boyfriend went to the Washington location in Indiana recently and nobody paid any attention to him. Two employees were at the register and didn't greet him or offer to help. He browsed the whole store by himself and not a single person came over to see what he needed. He bought shoes anyway, but this kind of service is unacceptable and it's happened to him before there.
The website needs some serious work. It's been stuck showing a maintenance message for a full day now. This is really annoying!
Walked in and was greeted right away, then they pointed me to exactly what I needed. The staff member helping me was really pleasant, and when we asked about a pair that wasn't in great condition, she actually checked with her manager to get us a discount on it. The prices are fantastic and the shoes hold up well.
Paid forty-three dollars for a pair of Shaq Victory wide shoes that feel like discount store quality. The fit was off even in the right size and they don't provide much support. They wear down instead of conforming to your foot like decent shoes do. I didn't realize these were overseas made and they started slipping after just a week of regular wearing.
Bought some shoes locally and also ordered a pair of Lugz online about six weeks ago. The foam in the soles is already falling apart on both sides and my right foot is getting a blister from it. The leather on top is peeling off because it's so thin. When I tried to return them, they told me their policy is thirty days and I can't wear shoes outside. Seriously? How do people shop for shoes without actually wearing them? These were just office shoes. I barely wore them outside my car to walk into work. The quality is terrible and since I'm past thirty days they won't take them back. Total garbage. I'm done with this company and I'm making sure everyone knows about this.
