Big life changes can be tough on kids and they need to know they're still loved. I wasn't expecting much since Instagram products usually let me down, but these folks really surprised me. Not only did they deliver what they showed but they impressed me with how they handled everything from start to finish. They updated me regularly on where my order was and got it to me super quick. I'd even forgotten to write my greeting card and they reached out asking permission to share who the gift was from when my friend asked. I was so blown away that I want to get their whole product line. Looking through what else they offer, I'm really impressed with their social emotional learning materials designed to help kids deal with feelings and challenges.
After waiting way longer than the advertised 1 to 4 days, my daughter's Slumberkin finally showed up. I was let down the moment I opened the box. For the price tag and the delivery time, I expected something much larger. The website photos made it look like a baby blanket size item, but it's basically just a small stuffed toy. I would have bought a regular stuffed animal at the store for less money and gotten it immediately. Total letdown and I can't recommend this to anyone.
I bought 5 items on November 27th and didn't see them ship until December 18th. Now they won't arrive before Christmas, which is really frustrating. When I reached out, they blamed the post office. I get it, the holidays and everything else have them slammed, but this is really on them, not the carriers. I've ordered their stuff before and my granddaughters absolutely loved everything. But after this, I'm done. There are other companies out there doing similar products and I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
I'm really happy with our Slumberkin purchase. We got one of their plushies plus the matching book. The quality of both is impressive, and I love how the book addresses family changes in such an easy way while giving affirmations for kids to repeat. Shipping did take longer than normal but they were upfront about that on the site. As soon as it shipped, I got a tracking number and everything arrived in great shape. Looking forward to using Slumberkins as my child gets older and faces new challenges.
The customer support here is terrible. My order totaled over $150, and they promised 1 to 4 day shipping. A week went by with nothing shipped. When I asked what was taking so long, they said they ran out of boxes and basically dropped the ball. It makes no sense that they'd charge customers knowing they can't keep their shipping promises. I'd been following them for ages and was really pumped to finally order, but man, was I wrong. Their excuses were weak and the lack of communication was unprofessional. We did get our money back eventually, but they knew from the start they wouldn't meet their timeline and never even sent a heads up. Don't tell customers you'll deliver something on a certain schedule if you can't actually do it, especially when you're charging these premium prices. Even after boxes arrived in late June, people were still waiting for tracking numbers as of June 30th.
