What Shoppers Say About southwestvacations.com
Southwest Vacations is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 16 shoppers, with all reviews giving the lowest possible rating. Shoppers report serious issues across multiple categories: billing problems including unexpected charges for baggage that packages claim to include free, points not being awarded correctly or at all, misleading information from booking agents about what is and is not included in packages, and failure to resolve complaints adequately. Several customers describe feeling scammed or nickel-and-dimed, with one reporting being charged multiple times for a booking that never went through and another noting that advertised amenities like airport transportation were not actually available despite agent confirmation.
Customers consistently express frustration with the company's lack of transparency regarding what package inclusions actually cover and describe poor customer service when attempting to resolve issues. Complaints range from missing items (a watch reportedly stolen from a hotel room with no resolution offered) to room errors that the company acknowledged but only partially compensated. The overwhelming consensus from these reviews is that shoppers do not recommend using Southwest Vacations for vacation bookings.

Sorted by: Most recentWorst Company I've Ever Used. We booked through them and our flight got delayed. By the time we arrived at the prepaid hotel, they sold our room and refused any refund. Four hours on the phone with Southwest Vacations reps who barely spoke English, and their response was basically tough luck. They said we should have called the hotel during our delay. Because we arrived six hours late, we had nowhere to stay and needed three extra flights to get where we were going. I'd give them zero stars if I could. My husband is a top tier member and we're taking our future trips elsewhere.
SW Vacations Has Nothing to Do With Southwest Airlines. They sent confirmation for my Las Vegas getaway with flights and hotel. Problem is, the hotel never received any reservation from them! Three weeks later and still dealing with this mess. The hotel says nothing is booked on their end. I'm about to verify my flight too. Seriously, stay far away from this company.
Booked Phoenix to Vegas and Got Burned. I cancelled a month early and got my airline credit back, but they refused to refund the hotel and shuttle because I supposedly didn't purchase travel insurance. I asked them multiple times to send proof of my booking terms showing the no-refund policy, but they never responded. I could have booked the same hotel with a real cancellation policy for the same price. Their business practices are awful and I'd never recommend them.
Deserves Zero Stars. Southwest Vacations pretends to be connected to Southwest Airlines but they're not. They owe me money, yet after countless phone calls, nobody can help. Southwest Airlines even confirmed they sent my refund to Southwest Vacations. When I request a supervisor, they just hang up on me.
Their System Is Outdated and Confusing. The whole booking process was clunky and tough to navigate. I lost $1000 in a single day and ended up with some airline credit that I can't transfer to anyone else.
