What Shoppers Say About spartina449.com
Spartina449.com has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the most consistent complaint centering on poor material quality and durability. Multiple reviewers report that bag handles and trim deteriorate quickly, peel, or separate at seams within weeks to months of purchase, despite premium price points. Additional frustrations include misleading product photography, strict and costly return policies (including undisclosed restocking fees), unresponsive customer service, and an unwillingness to honor warranties or process returns outside narrow timeframes.
While shoppers acknowledge that the designs and aesthetic appeal of the bags are attractive, the disconnect between the visual appeal and actual product longevity has driven negative ratings. The combination of high prices, material defects, and poor post-purchase support has left reviewers feeling that the brand no longer stands behind its products or prioritizes customer satisfaction.

Sorted by: Most recentI'd give them zero stars if I could. The bags look beautiful but the handles and trim are made of terrible material that disintegrates in a short amount of time, rendering them completely unusable.
The customer service is poor and the pictures online are misleading. On my first order from them, I bought a $149 sweater and paid almost $10 for shipping. The online photo showed the sweater with a light pink background, but when it arrived the background was brown. I called and they insisted the picture showed brown and that returning it would cost another $10 in restocking fees. So I'm out $20 with nothing to show for it. I absolutely will not order from them again.
The bag designs are really nice but I won't be buying from them anymore. The handles are poor quality and start peeling very quickly, which ruins the bag. For what these cost, I expect much better materials, especially real leather on the handles and trim.
I bought a gorgeous spring handbag with stitching and within about a year the leather handles separated at the seams. You can't replace them since they're stitched in place. The quality has definitely declined from what it used to be.
Disappointed with how this brand handles their warranty. I purchased one of their larger bags and it started peeling within a month. When I tried to return it, they said it had been over 30 days and refused to accept it back. Their return window is extremely strict and they don't seem to care much about customer satisfaction or standing behind what they sell.
Watch out for their restocking fee. They charge $9.95 on every return, and this fee isn't mentioned when you're making your purchase. It's charged on top of whatever return shipping costs you. When I returned two items, they tried to justify charging me $20 in restocking fees by pointing to the new customer discount I'd received, completely missing the point that their restocking policy wasn't disclosed before I bought anything.
I was given a nice bag as a gift but immediately saw issues. The handle was fraying and the plastic coating on the faux leather trim was coming off in sheets. I could literally peel the plastic away from the backing. The quality let me down and I won't be buying a replacement.
I've been ordering from this company for several years, but my recent experience was frustrating. I placed an advance order and when I got to Texas shortly after, I opened it and reached out just a couple days past their 30 day window asking about returning two items worth about $150. I even paid $38 to ship them back, but their customer service rejected my return anyway and said they'd send the items back to me instead of issuing a refund.
Before you buy, know these things about their policies: they won't adjust prices if you used a promo code during checkout, meaning you're better off paying full price and hoping the item drops so you can call for an adjustment. Free shipping requires spending $150 minimum. When returning, the original shipping cost won't be refunded and there's an $8.95 restocking fee on any return that gets deducted from your refund. Online orders can only be returned through their website and refunded to your original payment method or store credit. Their small customer service team won't escalate complaints or transfer calls, just repeating that they follow their policies with no exceptions for anyone. They'd rather lose loyal customers than make small adjustments before items even ship. Months later I see the same item at over 50% off.
The bag I own fell apart at the handles. A professional repair shop told me the handles couldn't be fixed because the binding deteriorated and there was no adhesive holding them together anymore. Unfortunately this is my second bag from them with the same handle problem. The rest of the purse is in great shape, but the handles are done. I reached out to them about getting it repaired, but they said they manufacture overseas and don't have repair services or any way to help fix it. They told me to search online for a replacement handle, which isn't really an option since the handles are stitched directly to the bag. I've bought plenty of items from them over the years, but I'm done now. They don't support their products and won't help customers when there are issues.
