What Shoppers Say About Speck Products
Speck Products has a significantly poor reputation with a 1.9 rating from 20 shoppers, driven largely by widespread customer service failures and product compatibility issues. The most common complaints involve receiving items that do not fit the advertised devices, unresponsive customer support, warranty claims that are refused without explanation, and difficulty obtaining replacements or refunds. Shoppers report that when they attempt to contact the company through phone or online channels, they receive no response or encounter unhelpful representatives. Additionally, some cases have failed structurally within weeks of use despite the brand's protective claims.
Among the small number of positive reviews, shoppers acknowledge that cases which do fit properly offer solid protection and grip. However, these limited positive experiences are overshadowed by recurring issues: product listings that misrepresent device compatibility, high return shipping costs imposed on buyers, and a warranty process that appears to be non-functional. The combination of poor fit, durability concerns, and an unresponsive support system has left most recent reviewers feeling scammed and strongly advising others to avoid the brand.

Sorted by: Most recentExtremely poor customer service. I got sent the wrong case, and when I contacted them about it, they said I'd have to pay to ship it back before they'd even think about giving me a refund. Really disappointing how they handled this.
Got a defective case and expected that a premium brand would stand behind their product. I was wrong. When I contacted them about the defect, they said I'd have to pay for return shipping and then they'd decide if they'd even refund me. I haven't had a customer service experience this bad in years.
Called to ask about their warranty process and learned it's basically worthless. They'll replace a case if you have your receipt, but without one they offer a one-time courtesy replacement. After I gave my info to the first representative, they said they'd ship it right out. Great, I thought. A few weeks pass and it finally arrives, but it's the wrong model. I had ordered the Pro Presidio Folio at $90, but received a much cheaper Balance Folio instead. I've called five different times about this mix-up and every rep gives me the same response: since it's a one-time courtesy, tough luck. I'm out $90 and they won't correct their error or take back the wrong case. The way these reps talk to you, you'd think you were asking for a handout. Their attitudes are completely unprofessional across the board. I'm shopping elsewhere from now on. This company isn't worth your time.
This company doesn't deserve even one star. I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max case a couple months back and it's total garbage. The phone case is dirty and nothing cleans it properly. When I reached out to Speck about it, they refused to help, saying the damage isn't covered under warranty. I'm done with their products and moving to a different brand. Very upset about this purchase.
Misleading marketing tactics. They advertise $20 overnight shipping, but then take 4 days to actually get your order out. Extremely dishonest business practice. I won't be giving them my business ever again.
Purchased an expensive laptop cover (blue clip-on style) for my MacBook Air and it looked nice initially but failed at its basic job. Within a year, it cracked at all four corners and started falling apart. Poor quality product. When I asked about a replacement 18 months after buying it, Speck declined. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for something better.
Pretty underwhelming overall. The store didn't have many iPhone case options. The clear case seems like it would be durable, but it arrived with two noticeable scratches already on it from the factory. For the price they're asking, there are better options out there.
Ordered early Thursday morning and paid $20 for overnight delivery. Got a UPS tracking number but UPS had no record of it. Turns out I missed some unannounced cutoff time, and since overnight doesn't include weekends at Speck, my package arrived three days later. If they have an overnight deadline, they should tell customers upfront and shouldn't charge for a service they're not actually providing. They refused to refund the overnight fee.
Had two separate orders where I sent back the more expensive one but got refunded for the cheaper one instead. Speck didn't apply my discount and I felt cheated. Update: After contacting them, their customer service team actually listened and resolved it. Both the product quality and customer service turned out to be excellent.
Placed two separate orders and returned the pricier one. However, I got refunded for the cheaper order instead. Speck didn't apply the discount I was supposed to get. I felt ripped off. Update: Their customer service team got back to me and worked through the issue. The product quality is great and their support team really came through for me.
