After removing all the dead foliage, there wasn't much plant left to actually plant. I'm crossing my fingers it survives, but I'm not optimistic. For what I paid including shipping, I feel like I got cheated.
Worst experience ordering from this company. I've been a customer for over 20 years with their main brand and sister companies, but this year was absolutely terrible. They always promised a lifetime guarantee on everything. I called about a rose bush I was struggling with over two years. I wasn't even asking for money back, just wanted some guidance on what was happening. I paid around $70 each for two jumbo bare root roses that were labeled as Grand Dame, a deep pink variety. Both turned out to be Dr Huey roses, which are known for killing off the graft. I didn't realize this when ordering and only found out through my own research after calling for help. The customer service rep told me roses don't just change colors and suggested I was trying to scam them for free plants. I wasn't asking for replacements or refunds, I just wanted answers. They then mentioned their No Risk Guarantee only covers receiving healthy bare roots initially, and if you don't complain right away, there's nothing they'll do.
I'm really frustrated about this. Two years ago I spent $110 on a Mayer lemon tree from this company after reading the description very closely. The grafted part of the rootstock took over and killed off the actual Mayer lemon portion. The description never mentioned it was a grafted tree or that it wouldn't produce fruit. I later found a Mayer lemon tree at a hardware store for $40 that isn't grafted, and it's thriving and producing tons of fruit. I'm incredibly disappointed they didn't disclose this critical detail. Don't let them fool you like they fooled me!
What a letdown! I ordered 4 clematis plants and none of them grew or produced flowers. My raspberry echinacea died while still in its container. I've been gardening for years, so I know this wasn't a mistake on my part. I'd really appreciate a refund for this order.
Worst company to work with. They charged me for plants I never got. I tried reaching out and got nothing back. They brag about 100% satisfaction, which is obviously not true. I'm telling everyone I know to steer clear.
This used to be a solid company to buy from, but not anymore. Between January and March 2023, I purchased over 7 perennial shrubs and none of them have grown at all. When I called about it, they basically said tough luck and refused any refund or replacement. Definitely skip this place!
I placed an order for something that showed in stock. When I checked the order status a few days later, I found out it had already been cancelled with no notice. An email confirmation didn't arrive until 8 days after they cancelled it. I wouldn't recommend shopping here.
Ordered 2 Blue Zebra Primroses. One arrived with barely one leaf, the other slightly better. I potted them up on March 27th since they were too weak for direct planting. Also ordered three Lenten Roses that came in better shape than the Primroses but still looked fragile. I paid $80 for plants I could've gotten cheaper and healthier from a local nursery. Big mistake. If you care about plant quality, stay away! Update from May: The okay-looking primrose survived with lots of attention, but the one with one leaf died. The three Lenten roses all made it and are in my garden. I also ordered a Vialii primrose. Its ship date got pushed back twice since March. It was supposed to go out by June 15th. I wanted to request a refund but honestly wanted nothing more to do with this company. Update from July: The company cancelled my Vialii primrose order. The Blue Zebra I managed to plant isn't looking great yet, but I'll see what happens next spring. The Lenten roses are doing decent. Time will tell what survives.
I wish I'd read the reviews first. Every single plant I got arrived either damaged or completely dead. Shop at your local nursery instead - you'll get healthier plants and better prices.
This is a total rip-off! I ordered in March of this year for around $55. The main item I wanted was a Clematis Amaranthine that didn't ship until July, nearly 4 months later! After it finally shipped on July 6th, delivery took 8 more days until July 14th. When I opened the box, the plant was wilted with dead leaves everywhere. I kept hoping it would bounce back, but a week later it was still completely dead. The whole purchase was a disaster - I got a dead stick basically. I asked for a refund and got this response: they don't offer refunds, even when it's their mistake. They said the item wasn't available for replacement and company policy doesn't allow refunds. Don't do business with this company and their shady practices. They take your money, charge your card, then fail to deliver, and won't refund you. It's a complete scam!
