What Shoppers Say About The Mountain
The Mountain is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 15 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing significant dissatisfaction. The dominant complaint centers on customer service failures: shoppers report difficulty reaching the company through phone or email, receiving only automated responses, and getting no meaningful assistance when orders arrive damaged, misprinted, incomplete, or incorrectly sized. Quality issues are equally prominent, with customers noting that print durability has declined markedly in recent years, with designs peeling or fading within months, a sharp contrast to older merchandise from two decades ago that proved far more durable and vibrant. Several long-time customers expressed particular disappointment at the deterioration of what they once considered a reliable brand.
A small minority of reviewers rated the store favorably, though their perspectives are significantly outnumbered by negative experiences. Beyond the core issues of poor customer service responsiveness and declining product quality, shoppers also reported order fulfillment problems including incorrect sizing, incomplete shipments, and tracking or confirmation discrepancies. The loss of physical retail locations has been mentioned as contributing to the inability to resolve issues in person, adding to customer frustration with the shift to online-only operations.

Sorted by: Most recentSeems like The Mountain is having serious problems. I ordered two months ago for a hundred fifty dollar purchase that never went out. Customer service gave excuses for weeks and now they're not responding at all, and their site keeps going down.
Got some shirts from them a while back and only received two of three ordered, with zero explanation. A week went by before customer service told me the third one was sold out and issued a refund. Wanting to give them another shot, I placed an order for two sweatshirts over four weeks ago and they're still sitting. Every time I ask about it they say to wait. Over a month with no shipment isn't patience, it's poor business. I won't be ordering again and feel completely ripped off.
Just received my fourth mail order from them and I'm still impressed. Started buying for the cool designs and was pleasantly surprised that these are actual quality heavyweight cotton, not the thin polyester blends everywhere else. The artwork comes out exactly like the pictures online. My original shirts from their physical store over a decade ago are still going strong and still in my rotation. The prints have never cracked or peeled even with regular washing over all these years. One time an item was out of stock and their customer service got back to me right away. Plus they run sales constantly. They're honestly the best t-shirt company I've ever used and I recommend them to everyone.
Used to trust this brand for quality. Recently bought a couple of shirts for thirty dollars each and was shocked at how cheap they felt, like something from a discount store. They claim no plastisol coating, but mine were covered in the stuff and peeling off. Thought maybe they'd improved, so I ordered a mug. After waiting almost a month it arrived damaged and poorly packed. Mail order companies from decades ago had way better service than this.
