What Shoppers Say About Thewesterncompany
The Western Company has a deeply polarized customer base. One satisfied shopper praised the store for competitive pricing on quality western boots (Anderson Bean Horse Power), timely shipping, and accurate sizing on their purchase. However, the majority of recent reviews describe serious operational failures: customers report complete unresponsiveness to cancellation requests and support inquiries, misleading product listings that fail to disclose children's sizing when adult sizing is implied, and an unwillingness to resolve sizing errors or provide alternative solutions.
These issues suggest potential problems with customer service infrastructure and product description accuracy. Shoppers indicate they would avoid ordering from this retailer due to difficulties obtaining refunds, lack of communication from the company, and product misrepresentation. The stark contrast between the one positive experience and the multiple negative ones suggests inconsistent service quality or that positive experiences may be limited to specific product categories like boots.

Sorted by: Most recentThis place is terrible. Stay away from ordering here. I placed an order back on February 27th and requested a cancellation just a week later. Nobody bothered responding to my emails or phone calls. Radio silence. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and getting my bank involved to reverse the charge. Shop somewhere else.
Honestly this place ripped me off. I bought what was supposed to be a unisex shirt but it arrived as a child's size. The product listing, title, and description had zero mention that this was kids' sizing. Not one hint of it being for children. When I complained, they said they didn't have the adult version in stock, and wouldn't you know it, neither small nor medium were available. They forced me into returning it. When the refund came through, it was short. I asked about the missing money and they claimed since I didn't buy their special protection plan, they were keeping 15% as a restocking fee. That's just stealing from me. The shirt size didn't mysteriously change during shipping, so why would protection even matter? This whole situation is on them. They either didn't know their own inventory or they messed up the listing, and then they couldn't fix it because everything was sold out. I shouldn't have to lose my money because of their mistakes and poor customer service.
Got myself a couple pairs of Horse Power Anderson Bean boots and couldn't be happier. Both pairs showed up in the correct sizes, shipping took about 2 weeks or maybe even faster, and the prices were seriously impressive. This was definitely a solid purchase and I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
