Their customer service is the worst. Apparently when you're spending hundreds of dollars on swimwear, they don't even throw in a basic travel bag anymore. I've been wearing Vilebrequin for years, and finally a couple of my special edition pairs needed repairs on the elastic. I reached out to customer service and they told me they couldn't verify authenticity from photos and demanded a proof of purchase. Who keeps receipts from a decade ago? Plus, even if we had them, they'd be completely faded and blank by now. It's ridiculous that a brand can't identify their own products, and it's not like any other retailer in the world asks you to keep receipts forever for future repairs. This is unacceptable.

My mom and I went to the Bicester location on a Saturday morning in early December and were denied entry because we weren't wearing masks. We both have a shared medical condition that qualifies us for an exemption, which we explained. Every other store that day accepted our self declaration without issue. Your staff should know that it's illegal under UK equality laws to discriminate against people with hidden disabilities. Denying someone entry based on a medical exemption is against the law. We're good customers but won't be coming back.

It's pricey, there's no getting around that, but I think it's worth it. Some people might disagree about whether shorts should cost $150, and that's fair. Personally I think the quality is excellent and they're perfect in every way. But if you're not willing to pay that much for a pair of shorts, this brand obviously won't convince you otherwise.
