I've been trying to get my old phone number ported over for six weeks with no luck. Every time I check my account, it just says the application is being reviewed. The first time I waited a month, called support, and found out I'd entered the wrong PIN. After resubmitting and waiting two more weeks, they said my zip code didn't match. Then they told me the old carrier hadn't approved it yet. The real problem is you can't seem to find out what's actually going on with your request. This has been incredibly frustrating and I'm still not sure if it'll ever go through.
The support team really puts in the effort to solve your problems either through chat or by following up with you. I'm not the quickest when it comes to tech stuff, but these folks are incredibly patient. They'll walk you through whatever you need without making you feel rushed.
My phone number got port slammed by another carrier, which was a headache. Vonage really went above and beyond to help me get it sorted out quickly. They walked me through every step of the process to recover my number and handled it all extremely professionally.
