I'm honestly confused why this place gets so much criticism online. Their clothing is beautiful and genuinely well made. I have pieces from 5 or 6 years ago that I still wear all the time and they look brand new. Those items are still fashionable too and some are my absolute favorites. This store is basically my entire closet now. Their jeans, work outfits, blazers, jackets, and nice tops are all fantastic. Every so often they have a style season I don't love, but they always carry their classic black and white basics which is perfect for building a business wardrobe. Plus they rotate in 1 or 2 special colors or patterns every few months so there's always something fresh to see, and then when you come back later there's a completely new selection. Yes, it's pricey - a blazer and dress run about $170 on average and sweaters with jeans are in the $80 to $90 range. But if you're in their rewards program you get a constant 5% off plus they send promo codes for 40 and 30 percent discounts, plus bonus coupons that pop up in your account as you spend more, like $25 to $50 off when you hit $200. This is genuinely my favorite store ever and I constantly get compliments on what I wear.

This is about White House Black Market specifically. I ordered a dress after seeing a bunch of great reviews online. The dress itself looked nice but the fit was really weird, super tight on top and baggy on the bottom. Not appropriate for a work setting at all. I wrote an honest review through their site saying I wouldn't recommend it for women with larger busts. They never posted my review. After that experience, I'm pretty convinced they cherry pick which reviews they actually show so everything looks perfect. Reviews are the only real way to know what shoppers actually think, so if I can't trust theirs, that's a problem. This is my second bad purchase that had positive reviews on their site, so I'm done shopping here.

Honestly not sure where all the negativity comes from. This store has actually saved my professional wardrobe. Yeah, sometimes certain collections miss the mark, but overall I think the pieces are really solid. Almost half my work clothes come from here. They stock longer lengths which is super helpful and you don't find that everywhere. I've been buying here both in person and online for years without any problems at all.

I got a light pink suede jacket online from White House Black Market on clearance. I didn't catch the damage right away. There's a small mark hidden behind the collar which I almost kept it for, but then I spotted a bigger stain on the back lower section and a dark mark on the front where the zipper is. I emailed customer service asking if I could get store credit to return it even though I was past their return window. They just kept sending me their return policy over and over. I've bought a lot from them over the years so I figured they might make an exception. They offered me 20 percent off a future purchase instead. I said no thanks because there won't be a next purchase.
