What Shoppers Say About Woolrich
Woolrich receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 23 shoppers rating the store 1.7 out of 5. The primary complaints center on product quality issues, including discoloration, broken zippers, and water-repellent coatings that fail prematurely. Customers report serious frustration with customer service responsiveness and resolution processes, with refunds delayed for weeks, replacement issues unresolved, and escalation requests dismissed or redirected without meaningful assistance. Several reviewers express concern about the brand's continued use of animal fur in parkas, contrasting unfavorably with competitors' ethical standards.
A small minority of shoppers appear satisfied, but their feedback is outweighed by accounts of defective products at premium price points, poor communication from support teams, and unmet expectations regarding durability and performance. Customers indicate they do not plan to purchase from Woolrich again due to quality standards and service failures.

Sorted by: Most recentI sent my jacket back, and they emailed saying they'd issue a refund. Now it's been weeks and the money still hasn't shown up on my card. I'm going to have to contact my credit card company to get involved. This whole experience has been a hassle. They used to be a respected company.
I'm very unhappy with the down parka I purchased. I got it on sale, marked down from around 800 euros to 450 euros, but the quality is terrible. The lining is paper-thin and started tearing at the seams immediately. Down feathers leak out constantly, and I can barely wear it without a lint brush to clean off my clothing afterward. Even after just 10 minutes of wearing it, I'm covered in feathers. I sent customer service multiple photos of my clothes covered in down, but they said this was normal shedding. That's not acceptable for a parka at this price point. They didn't offer a replacement, refund, or any real solution. I'm really disappointed and can't recommend this brand to anyone.
I've purchased a number of items from Woolrich and the craftsmanship is excellent. The shirts are exceptional quality and clearly made to stand the test of time. I placed an order Wednesday night and it showed up Friday afternoon. The delivery speed was incredible considering it shipped internationally. Got a sweatshirt not long ago that I'm eager to test out. Really impressed with their work.
I've made several purchases from Woolrich and the quality is really impressive. The shirts are built to last and you can tell right away. I ordered on a Wednesday evening and had it Friday afternoon. The shipping speed was remarkable for something coming all the way from overseas. I also grabbed a sweatshirt a couple of weeks back and can't wait to wear it. They're doing great work.
The customer service here is really poor, especially if you're in the UK where there's no follow-up support available. Given how expensive these items are and their reputation for quality, I found the service completely unacceptable. I would have made a different purchase decision if I'd known upfront there was no customer care after the sale. Now I'm stuck with a coat that cost around a thousand pounds, less than a year old, and damaged. I don't even know who to contact about repairs.
Really let down by this experience. I took advantage of their Black Friday promotion and placed an order, but they canceled it about a week later saying the item wasn't actually in stock. The strange part is that right after the Black Friday sale ended, those same products were back on the shelves at full price. My payment is still being held two days after the cancellation, and I've sent multiple emails to their support team. No one gets back to me for at least five days each time. This is unacceptable behavior from a company.
I know this sounds unusual, but it's worth telling. I bought a Woolrich packable windbreaker in crinkle nylon back in 1989 before taking a four-week honeymoon and fishing trip to the southeastern Mexico coast. The jacket worked beautifully. Now, 34 years later, I'm preparing it for another fishing adventure to the Outer Banks, and it's still like new. This jacket has been everywhere with me: nine-day backpacking trips in the remote Appalachian mountains, trips to Mexico, California, Europe, Florida's beaches, Arizona deserts, and the rain forests of Oregon and Washington. I've worn it fishing off my boat in the Atlantic many times and never babied it. Everything still functions perfectly. The zippers are solid, the hood zips into the collar as it should, pockets are intact. The only thing time has affected is the interior label with care instructions, which has faded, but the label itself remains. At 70 years old, I'm thankful for a jacket this reliable.
This might sound odd, but I have to share this. Back in 1989, I picked up a Woolrich packable windbreaker in crinkle nylon before heading out on a month-long honeymoon and fishing adventure down to the southeastern coast of Mexico. That jacket was fantastic from day one. Fast forward to now, 34 years later, and I'm getting it ready for another fishing trip to the Outer Banks. It's still in excellent condition. I've taken this thing everywhere without worrying about it: nine-day camping and canoeing trips in the remote Appalachian mountains, countless beach getaways to Mexico, California, Europe, Florida's coasts, desert exploring in Arizona, and the rain forests out in Oregon and Washington. I've fished off my boat in the Atlantic wearing it regularly. The jacket still performs perfectly. The zippers work great, the hood still zips into the collar like it should, no rips in the pockets. The only wear is the interior tag has faded over time, but that's it. Now that I'm in my 70s, I'm grateful to have a piece of gear this dependable.
I wish I'd checked the reviews before ordering from them online. I returned my item over two weeks ago and the package got stuck in customs for more than a week and a half. Still no word about my refund.
Don't order from Woolrich online if you value good service. Their customer support is the worst I've dealt with. They can't answer basic questions about orders, and they're rude on top of it. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told she was busy in a meeting. That woman must have the most packed schedule ever or lives in back-to-back meetings. What should have been a simple return turned into a nightmare. My return still hasn't been handled, and based on all the other reviews I'm reading, I doubt it will be anytime soon. I really should have read the reviews before buying that jacket.
