Xtrema is rated 1.2 out of 5 by 11 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews reporting serious quality and customer service failures. Shoppers report receiving defective cookware, including cracked pans, flaws hidden under paint, and products that failed within months despite careful use. The company's stated warranties and return policies appear inconsistently enforced or honored, with customers describing unresponsive customer support, ignored emails, and refused returns even within advertised timeframes.

Multiple reviewers note that Xtrema products are manufactured in China despite marketing suggesting premium quality. Common complaints center on the gap between the company's promises regarding durability, warranty coverage, and return policies versus what shoppers actually experience. Customers describe their purchases as ripoffs that failed to deliver on quality expectations.

Got a damaged item in the mail and the company completely ignored my emails. They never reached out. Don't hand over your money to this company.

First off, these are MADE IN CHINA. I got the 9-inch signature Skillet back in November, and by December we noticed a crack running across the bottom. We didn't see it until the pan was heating up and we spotted liquid dripping onto the stovetop. We followed their care instructions perfectly, so we emailed about their 10-year warranty. Instead of helping, they immediately assumed we caused the damage and offered only a replacement guarantee. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on because they blame you for any issues. Plus they make you pay shipping, and if they do replace it, they'll cover the first one, but if it breaks again down the line, you're paying 20 percent of whatever the product costs now.

They claim to offer a 30-day trial for returns, but they won't actually honor it when you've used the cookware. How else would you test whether it works for you?

Here's what happened with me, and you can make up your own mind. I ordered a ceramic pan from Xtrema based on their website promises about quality. When it came, there was clearly a flaw on the handle that someone had tried to cover up by painting over it, supposedly their version of quality assurance. I sent customer support pictures of the problem. They completely ignored me. I definitely won't be ordering from them again.

My pan fell apart in less than 10 months while I was cooking. I had taken great care of it and never put it in the dishwasher. Turns out Xtrema is just low-quality stuff from China pretending to be premium. This place is a total ripoff. Steer clear.

Tried to return their sticky pot well within the 30-day window, but they refused to accept it back.

Maria P.Jun 3, 2025

Purchased a ceramic pan that developed a crack on its own after three years of normal use, not from any drops or mishandling. The counter height was minimal anyway. The company advertises a 10-year warranty, but when I reached out about the defect, they said they'd replace it only if I had proof of purchase. I submitted my receipt and photos, yet despite contacting them repeatedly over the past year, I haven't received any response. This feels like a complete scam to me. Just wanted to warn others about this.

Kevin B.May 27, 2025

After I placed my order and it was accepted, they came back asking me to pay extra money due to some technical issue. Before I could even respond, they cancelled the whole thing.

Elena S.Apr 3, 2025

Ordered a 28cm frying pan which shipped from the US, but it turned out to not be what I needed. I was looking for something that would work well for making different types of foods, but this one didn't work for eggs and pancakes and wasn't ideal for my gas stovetop. The company did process my refund, but I still took a loss from the return shipping cost.

Patricia G.Dec 29, 2024

Watch out - all their cookware comes from China, it's heavy and breaks easily. Their 30-day trial is a joke because they slap a 15 percent restocking charge on returns. When I sent back two items after just one day of having them (I didn't even cook with them, they were just too heavy), I got hit with almost $50 in fees. The single pan I kept doesn't perform any better than other brands out there. I bought from Xtrema believing their claim about not releasing harmful chemicals, but their dishonest marketing has made me skeptical of anything this company says.

Amanda W.Aug 24, 2024

Xtrema makes a big deal about their commitment to local artisans and craftsmanship, but the four cups I got were clearly made in China. They looked cheap, felt cheap, and were cheap cups that I overpaid for because I was fooled by how polished their website is. My mistake was trusting their marketing. Meanwhile, Amazon and tons of other places offer free returns, but Xtrema has this 30-day guarantee that conveniently doesn't apply if you've actually used the product. I ended up paying $78 for four plain black cups and got only $47 back because they charged $15 for a shipping label plus extra fees for handling. The only way to not lose money with them is to buy nothing at all, and even then you're paying to ship items back. My suggestion: choose literally any other option. After buying, my neighbor showed me an identical frying pan she was tossing out, and I realized it's just a sneaky bait-and-switch where they claim their stuff is handcrafted locally by skilled makers, and at those prices you naturally believe them.
