What Shoppers Say About Bloomscape
Bloomscape shoppers are deeply divided. Five-star reviewers praise responsive customer service, with representatives going above and beyond to resolve issues like missing items and order mix-ups, sometimes offering complimentary replacements or upgrades. However, nearly 60 percent of reviews are one or two stars, with recurring complaints about plant quality and condition. Customers report receiving plants significantly smaller than advertised photos, waterlogged containers infested with gnats, plants arriving damaged or dead, and undersized specimens not matching product descriptions. Several reviewers expressed frustration that customer service offers only store credit rather than refunds, and that the high prices combined with quality issues make them unlikely to order again.
Shipping delays and fulfillment problems also appear frequently in negative reviews. Some customers experienced technical glitches causing late shipments, plants not reaching carriers on time, and packages arriving well past intended delivery dates (such as birthday gifts). The stark rating distribution suggests Bloomscape either delivers an exceptional experience or a disappointing one, with little middle ground for shoppers.

Sorted by: Most recentOrdered what was supposed to be a parlor palm and it showed up tiny compared to the huge pot it came in. Plus the container was waterlogged and had gnats all over it. Had to repot everything myself. They sent a replacement but it was still way undersized for the pot and nothing like what was shown. Honestly seems like they're selling sizes they don't actually stock. The people packing and shipping these plants either have no clue what they're doing or just don't care. I've had much better luck buying from Hey Rooted and that's where I'm sticking with now.
Got a plant from Bloomscape yesterday but I knew right away I hadn't ordered it. Called them to ask what happened. They said the gift card probably didn't make it into the box, but it was from another company about my dog. They apologized for the mix-up and told me exactly what the card had said. The package came via FedEx and the plant was in perfect condition. The packaging was thoughtful and the soil was still nice and moist, so now it's on my shelf where I can enjoy it daily. They got back to me instantly with the info I needed, and I was really impressed by how well everything was packaged considering this was my first time ordering a live plant.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I bought two plants for Mother's Day going to separate addresses and both came in terrible condition and died shortly after. When I called customer service, they could only offer store credit and weren't even sorry about it. Their prices are already way too high. Why would I give them another chance? If you want to send someone a dead plant gift this is your spot.
Bought the Colorful Collection trio for my friend's birthday on 4/30. A technical issue caused the shipment to be late. They offered express shipping and created a label on 5/9, but then everything went wrong. Plants didn't reach the carrier until 5/12 and got delivered on 5/17, missing the birthday by a lot. The package had been broken into and one of the three plants was gone. Soil was everywhere and the two remaining plants were tossed around pretty badly. Not the gift experience I was hoping for. I bumped it to two stars from one because they gave a complete refund and seemed sorry, but I'm not coming back to them.
Got the Colorful Collection set of three plants for my friend's birthday on 4/30. Due to a technical glitch the order didn't ship when it should have. Bloomscape did upgrade me to express 2-day shipping and generated a label on 5/9, but things fell apart after that. The plants didn't get to the carrier until 5/12 and didn't arrive until 5/17, way past the birthday. When the box finally showed up, it had been opened and one plant was missing. There was dirt everywhere and the other two plants were a mess. Not the gift I was hoping to give. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is that they issued a full refund and apologized, but I won't be ordering from them again.
I don't usually leave feedback, but this deserves it. Got a care package and the soil scoop was missing from it. Reached out to support and Alex responded super quickly. I asked whether I could buy potting soil to add to a replacement shipment. Not only did he confirm the replacement scoop, but he also included the soil at no extra cost because of the inconvenience. Really grateful for that kind of service!
I bought a plant as a present and had questions about the coupon attached to my order. They got back super fast and helped me out way more than they needed to. Really pleasantly surprised by their customer service!
Just bought a plant as a gift and had a quick question about my order and a coupon code. Their team answered right away and then went the extra mile to help me figure everything out. Super impressed with how they handled it!
The plants arrived in good shape, but talking to their customer service was a nightmare. No toll-free number to call and their responses were incredibly slow. For what they charge you'd think customer service would be a priority. I've thought about going back, but the bad experience has turned me off completely. The whole company feels distant, impersonal and more focused on profit than people.
Fantastic customer service experience! I got the wrong bundle in my shipment, but their team responded fast and sent the right one without making it difficult. They even let me keep the incorrect bundle. The speed and willingness to help was amazing. Already planning my next purchase!
