Sorted by: Most recentOnce My Favorite, Now Falling Short For almost 20 years, Excalibur has been my go-to spot whenever I visit Vegas. I typically make the trip once or twice annually, and their buffet has always been a huge draw for me. My latest visit really let me down. I was supposed to land on January 1st around 11:30 PM, and that's what my booking clearly stated. With flight time factored in, I pulled up to the hotel around 2:30 AM only to learn my reservation got canceled for not showing up. The manager told me I should feel lucky she was doing me a favor by scrounging up a room, even though I'd already reserved and paid for one. After 18 hours of travel, I ended up waiting nearly two more hours just to get into a room. Several other things also took away from the experience: Buffet hours got cut down to just 11 AM to 2 PM Valet service isn't an option anymore There's a noticeable lack of communication about who's occupying which rooms, since housekeeping showed up at my door every single day asking if we were still there I will say the rooms themselves are nice and well-maintained. But after all the years I've been loyal to this place, this trip left a lot to be desired.
