What Shoppers Say About Coccinelle
Coccinelle receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 19 shoppers rating the store 1.4 out of 5. The primary complaint across reviews centers on nonfunctional customer service, with shoppers reporting unanswered emails, lack of phone support, automated responses in foreign languages, and weeks-long delays in receiving meaningful assistance. Additional issues include undisclosed import taxes and fees appearing after purchase, product descriptions that do not match items received, and inflexible voucher policies that prevent stacking discounts.
A small portion of shoppers (11 percent) rate the store positively, though their specific feedback is not detailed in available reviews. The vast majority of negative reviewers (89 percent) express strong dissatisfaction and actively discourage others from purchasing, citing dishonest practices and the inability to resolve problems or obtain refunds due to the company's unresponsive support infrastructure.

Sorted by: Most recentHow is anyone supposed to reach this company about returns? Their customer service is terrible. I've sent emails multiple times with zero responses. I need to send a bag back because it's not what was described but I can't get any contact information or help from them.
They're being dishonest and clearly don't care about their customers. Nobody warned me about import taxes during checkout, apparently I'm supposed to know about that beforehand. Three weeks after my delivery showed up, FedEx sent me an invoice for fees I never expected. The customer service response has been absolutely terrible.
Bought a bag from their site and the ordering process was already pretty annoying, but then when I needed to contact customer support things got way worse because there basically is none. I submitted a question through their website on July 16th. Multiple weeks and several follow-ups went by with absolutely nothing meaningful coming back. I got desperate and found nine different email addresses and tried all of them. The only thing I got back was an automated response in German from their ecommerce team despite sending five separate messages. That was literally it. I even tracked down the founder's contact info and reached out directly, total silence. They position themselves as an elegant, sophisticated brand that values customers. Reality check, they don't give a damn about you once they've got your payment. Unless you want to waste your energy, time, and possibly money, skip Coccinelle entirely.
If you're thinking about buying from here, don't. This company is dishonest and their customer service is basically non-functional. They have no actual phone line you can call to work through problems. The email responses are automated and in another language. You'll be lucky if a real person gets back to you after weeks of emailing, and when they finally do you'll discover they've been feeding you lies the whole time. It's just garbage, plain and simple.
Can't suggest Coccinelle to anyone. I got a voucher but felt treated like I was getting free merchandise. The voucher gets handled like a regular discount code, which means you're stuck and can't layer on any other discounts when you use it. I emailed their support team with questions about this and got back a really short, cold response, or nothing at all. On top of that, their current selection barely has anything appealing anymore, and what they do have looks copied straight from high-end designers.
Crooks, seriously. Don't shop from their website. We bought a bag for delivery to the UK. Didn't get a confirmation from the brand itself but the bag showed up anyway. Then FedEx sent us an invoice with import charges and extra fees via email. The brand never confirmed the order but somehow gave our address to FedEx. It really should be obvious on their site that UK customers are on the hook for import duties! Totally dishonest. Absolute crooks.
The return experience was absolutely brutal. I had to reach out daily for fourteen days just to get a shipping label and authorization paperwork. They kept saying they needed time to look into it, then they just disappeared. The bags and shoes themselves are beautiful (heads up though, the sizing runs super small!), but honestly I'd only recommend purchasing if you're okay with basically losing your right to return items and get your cash back.
Would give them zero stars if I could! Was vacationing in Italy in June and at the Naples airport I spotted this bag in a Coccinelle shop window. Fell head over heels for it immediately. Fast forward less than three months and the metal hardware started turning green and tarnishing. After hunting down the right customer care email, I've been going back and forth with them for more than six weeks. They told me they processed my refund on October 9th, but here we are at October 29th and nothing's hit my card. I've sent tons of emails and get nothing back. It's been such a headache! I really wanted this brand to work out for me, thought I'd found something special. Won't be ordering from them ever again. Update from October 31st: Called my credit card company to file a dispute and found out my refund actually went through on 10/9! I just didn't catch it because it showed up way back in my transaction history on 6/21/24 as a merchant reversal from my purchase date instead of appearing at the top.
The way they drag out their return process is ridiculous. I got approval to send an item back in August and still haven't gotten my refund. I've got all the shipping proof. Good thing I paid through PayPal because they stepped in to help me out with Coccinelle. I'm really disappointed in how they've handled this.
