Alo Moves Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Alo Moves
Alo Moves has received overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 19 shoppers rating the service 1.7 out of 5. The dominant complaint across reviews centers on severe customer service failures: long wait times on hold (30+ minutes), unresponsive support channels (email, chat, phone), copy-paste or delayed responses, and inability to resolve account access issues. Multiple reviewers report being charged unexpectedly or continuing to be charged after cancellation, with some mentioning a acknowledged system glitch. Account lockouts prevent paid members from accessing classes they have paid for, leaving customers frustrated that good fitness content becomes inaccessible due to technical and support failures. Additional complaints include damaged merchandise and unprocessed return labels.
A small subset of reviewers (16 percent) gave five-star ratings and acknowledged that the workout classes themselves are of high quality. However, this praise is substantially outweighed by the pervasive issues with account management, billing transparency, and customer support responsiveness. Shoppers indicate they would not recommend the service unless fundamental changes are made to how the company handles customer issues and technical problems.

Sorted by: Most recentI got a membership and paid upfront thinking I'd have full access to their class library, but my account never actually went live on the app. I tried reaching out through email and the support chat multiple times, but for weeks I just got silence or copy-paste responses. Still couldn't log in. When they finally got back to me, they didn't really help and wouldn't do anything about the charge sitting on my card. Completely unacceptable. Would tell anyone thinking about using them to save their money.
AWFUL Customer Service. You're waiting on hold for up to 30 minutes. They kept charging me even after I cancelled, and then I couldn't access my account. It took five separate phone calls just to fix it. Don't bother with this place. The staff is unprofessional, and I don't care how quality their workout classes are.
Haven't been able to get into my paid account at all, and customer service has been completely useless about fixing it. I've tried email, phone, and chat multiple times but nobody can actually help. After trying everything I could think of, I just gave up, which is a shame because the classes are really good. But good content doesn't matter if you can't access it. From what I've read in other reviews, getting your money back from them is nearly impossible. Really let down by them. What a terrible company.
Purchased a coat back in December and somehow got hit with a $199 charge for an Alo Moves membership I never signed up for. Spent over 10 minutes on hold waiting for customer service to pick back up, which was frustrating. They eventually told me there's a system glitch that's been automatically charging people. That's really not okay. Now I have to wait several days to see the refund go through. Won't be shopping with Alo again.
The way they handle issues is unbelievable. Dropped $148 on a sweatshirt about two months back and it started looking worn out despite hanging it to dry. Asked the store for help and got nowhere. Corporate then said they'd swap it out for the same thing, but the return label never showed up. Sent three separate emails asking for it and heard nothing back. Went back to the physical store and they refused to assist. I've been a loyal customer and spent a lot of money here, but I'm done. Moving to Lululemon and Vuori because they actually stand by their gear and care about clients.
This app is terrible, straight up! They're basically robbing people. I set up a membership in October but the website crashed and the app stopped working. Called customer service multiple times but they couldn't figure out how to cancel it. I've kept getting charged every month while being completely unable to use it. It's unbelievable. My advice to anyone: stay away because these guys are just stealing from you.
Bought an E-Gift Card for a one year membership on the last day of the year planning to give it as a gift. Three and a half weeks later and I still don't have the card details, so I can't actually give it. Sent six different emails with no reply. Their chat support isn't working when they say it should be available. And when you call, they hang up on you. Honestly the worst thing I've ever bought. This is embarrassing for them.
Awful customer service experience. They drag their feet getting back to you and then don't actually do what you asked them to do, so you end up having to contact them again and again. There are always long gaps between responses and you have to keep reminding them what you need. I had knee surgery and asked them to pause my membership. They said yes at first, then wanted more paperwork from me. While I was dealing with months of recovery on crutches, I figured it was taken care of. Turns out they kept charging me for about 8 months straight. When I finally got through to them, they said they'd only refund 3 months because that's a system limitation. Now they've stopped responding to my messages again. This company thinks they're entitled to people's money instead of actually providing value. That's really disappointing behavior. I wanted to stay with them but not anymore.
The classes are actually really good, but their customer service basically doesn't exist. Got charged a random fee a few weeks after paying for my annual membership. No email explanation and I couldn't find it on my account page. Spent a month going back and forth in emails. Every reply seemed to start a brand new case instead of continuing the old one, which usually means they're closing it without helping. I eventually called their customer service number and found out they outsource to another company that doesn't have full account access and can't actually do anything. They told me to call my bank instead since it was their mistake. But wait, Alo charged me without permission, so now I'm supposed to keep my card on file and watch my statement every month hoping they don't overcharge me again? That makes no sense.
This company has hands down the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to get my money back for a charge I didn't authorize on my credit card. They basically tried to take my cash. Look at their online reviews and you'll see the same complaint over and over about how they handle billing and how hard it is to get refunded. Should be really ashamed of themselves.
