Alo Moves Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Alo Moves
Alo Moves has received overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 19 shoppers rating the service 1.7 out of 5. The dominant complaint across reviews centers on severe customer service failures: long wait times on hold (30+ minutes), unresponsive support channels (email, chat, phone), copy-paste or delayed responses, and inability to resolve account access issues. Multiple reviewers report being charged unexpectedly or continuing to be charged after cancellation, with some mentioning a acknowledged system glitch. Account lockouts prevent paid members from accessing classes they have paid for, leaving customers frustrated that good fitness content becomes inaccessible due to technical and support failures. Additional complaints include damaged merchandise and unprocessed return labels.
A small subset of reviewers (16 percent) gave five-star ratings and acknowledged that the workout classes themselves are of high quality. However, this praise is substantially outweighed by the pervasive issues with account management, billing transparency, and customer support responsiveness. Shoppers indicate they would not recommend the service unless fundamental changes are made to how the company handles customer issues and technical problems.

Sorted by: Most recentAs a grad student, I was trying to use their student discount offer. The code wouldn't work though and when I emailed their support staff about it, they basically ignored me.
Wish I'd found these reviews before spending $99 on their lifetime membership offer. The app still shows the membership expiring after just one year. Went back and forth with their support team who then stopped answering messages. There's no way to contact them at this point and I have a feeling the subscription will get shut down next year instead of continuing forever. Apple Pay subscriptions with this company are risky. The instructors and content are solid but management is a mess. Seems like a scam to me.
Canceled my subscription over a year ago. Then out of nowhere on Black Friday, I see a charge for another full year. This isn't a normal renewal, it's a brand new charge after a whole year of nothing! Reached out to their help team and still no response. I genuinely can't afford this unexpected charge. It's crazy.
Love the content and some of the instructors, but the app keeps crashing constantly which is infuriating. After my discounted first year ended, they automatically renewed without making the terms visible in my settings or any reminder. Asked customer support five different times about the renewal timing and cost but got no responses. Year one they didn't charge tax but year two they added it without telling me beforehand. The whole customer service experience and communication is really bad. And canceling isn't straightforward either. It's basically an app that grabs your money without giving you any heads up or staying in touch. I'm switching to Glo instead.
Everyone online seemed to be saying negative things, but my experience was completely different. I messed up and didn't cancel my yearly subscription, and they took care of the refund for me right away.
The reviews I read online turned out to be wrong about this company. They were really helpful when I forgot to turn off my yearly subscription and ended up getting charged. They processed my refund without any hassle.
Been using Alo Moves since they took over Cody. Without any notice, my annual membership jumped from $99 to $199 when it auto-renewed. Also, I preferred the original instructors. The newer ones keep plugging Alo merchandise during the middle of class, which is annoying. Time to switch to something else.
Signed up for the 2 week free trial and next thing I know, $149 gets pulled out for the annual membership without any heads up. Just got a receipt in my email. Didn't even use it that much since then. Feels pretty sneaky and underhanded. I'm honestly really disappointed.
