What Shoppers Say About Babylist
Babylist is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. Reviewers report critical problems across multiple areas: shipping delays that cause orders to arrive too late for their intended events, a confusing and broken return process where retailers do not honor their policies, order management issues including items marked as purchased when they should not be, and frustrating cancellation systems that fail to work as advertised. The platform also faces criticism for high prices combined with slow fulfillment times, leaving customers feeling they paid premium prices for subpar service.
Customer service appears ineffective at resolving these issues, with support staff offering limited solutions like store credit instead of actual refunds or returns. Insurance coverage processing through the platform has created additional problems, with customers facing unexpected bills months after purchases. The combination of operational failures, lack of system functionality, and unresponsive support has left shoppers cautioning others against using Babylist for baby registries or gift purchases.

Sorted by: Most recentBabylist is not worth using if you need items by a certain date for a baby shower. Two weeks have gone by since I ordered and I have no information about when it will ship or when it'll arrive. They won't let me cancel the order to get my money back.
The prices here are way too high. It seems like they either hide what Amazon is charging or make it look like Amazon costs more, but honestly Amazon almost always has better deals or matches their pricing anyway.
Their customer service is really bad. Shipping takes several weeks and tracking your items is a nightmare. Plus everything they sell has an outrageous markup. There are many issues with this company.
Only worth it as a registry for gifts. All the other features don't work. The fifteen percent discount just matches Amazon pricing. Everything is overpriced and overhyped. Just stick with it as a basic registry and nothing else.
The only good thing about babylist is using it as a registry for other people to buy from. Everything else is pointless. Their fifteen percent off promotion just brings prices down to what Amazon charges anyway. Items are way overpriced, the hype isn't justified, and it's basically only useful as a simple registry tool.
Babylist worked okay for the registry part but I definitely noticed everything they sell is way overpriced. Fortunately only one person ordered directly from their store, and it was something we'd already bought ourselves but forgot to delete from the list. That return went fine though we just got store credit. I bought a bouncer and some baby bottle nipples. The nipples got here fast but the bouncer still hasn't left the warehouse and I ordered that almost three weeks ago. When I contacted support they said just wait another couple days, but it's already been way too long. The only solution they offered was canceling, but that doesn't help since it would just be store credit anyway. Super annoying situation.
The registry side of babylist worked pretty well, but I noticed items from their store were crazy expensive. Only one family member bought something directly from babylist, and it turned out to be something we'd already gotten and just forgot to remove from the list. That was an easy return and we got store credit. Then I ordered a bouncer and some bottle nipples. The nipples arrived quickly but the bouncer still hasn't shipped even though I ordered it back in late September. Support keeps saying it'll ship in a couple more days but it's been over two weeks. They keep saying to just cancel but that's pointless since I'd lose the store credit either way. This is really frustrating.
Used babylist to order a crib from a baby furniture brand as a gift for a friend. The delivery happened but it went to the wrong address. I've reached out multiple times to a company that claims to have round-the-clock support almost year-round. I haven't gotten a response. This customer service is absolutely unacceptable.
I bought a gift through babylist from a baby furniture company. It was a crib that I sent as a gift to a friend. The package got delivered but it went to the wrong place. I've tried contacting them tons of times even though they advertise twenty-four seven support almost every day of the year. Still no response. Their customer service is horrible.
I appreciated how easy it was to send my gift. What I didn't like was that my gift order got split into several shipments when it should have come as one. It gave off the impression that I was procrastinating on the gift, which really wasn't the case. I wanted her to open everything together as a nice surprise.
