What Shoppers Say About Babylist
Babylist is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. Reviewers report critical problems across multiple areas: shipping delays that cause orders to arrive too late for their intended events, a confusing and broken return process where retailers do not honor their policies, order management issues including items marked as purchased when they should not be, and frustrating cancellation systems that fail to work as advertised. The platform also faces criticism for high prices combined with slow fulfillment times, leaving customers feeling they paid premium prices for subpar service.
Customer service appears ineffective at resolving these issues, with support staff offering limited solutions like store credit instead of actual refunds or returns. Insurance coverage processing through the platform has created additional problems, with customers facing unexpected bills months after purchases. The combination of operational failures, lack of system functionality, and unresponsive support has left shoppers cautioning others against using Babylist for baby registries or gift purchases.

Sorted by: Most recentIt was convenient to send a gift through their site. The problem is my entire order came in multiple shipments, so it looked like I was being lazy about gift giving which bothered me. I wanted to surprise her with everything arriving at once so she'd be all set.
I really liked babylist initially but then received a damaged package. It appears that when things ship directly from manufacturers, they use almost no shipping protection. The customer service team was really pleasant and helpful, but this is weird because normal retailers put items in a protective shipping box. With babylist you just get the store box with a label slapped on. This lack of consistency means products get broken or damaged bouncing around in the mail. After this happened I took off anything babylist-specific from my list. Not something I want to deal with when I'm seven months pregnant.
I loved babylist until I got my first order with damage. It turns out when items come straight from the maker, they send them with basically no protective packing. The support team was actually really nice about it, but it's strange because everywhere else I shop sends items inside a shipping box for protection. With babylist you just get the retail box with a label on it. This inconsistency means items get damaged or broken during transit. I ended up removing all babylist items from my registry after this. I'm not interested in dealing with damaged packages when I'm about to have a baby.
I bought three gifts on May twenty-second for my great-nephew and his wife's baby shower. They were coming into town just for the event on June first and everything was supposed to arrive well before then. One item came in four days, but babylist sent all three separately. The tracking showed one arriving June fourth and the third hadn't shipped yet. I looked everywhere for customer service info and started with a chatbot that just sent me to article pages. There was no phone or email option at first, but the bot eventually connected me with a representative. She also just linked me to articles. When she finally looked into it, she said the items were fulfilled on May twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth, which is six and seven days after I ordered. She mentioned it could take up to three days to fulfill before shipping, which didn't make sense with those dates.
Made a purchase a couple days ago and I've been trying to figure out where my gift is being delivered. There's basically no customer service help available. Every link on the site just sends you to another page that doesn't help. I still don't even know where it's going or if my order actually went through. The site is really hard to use and I'd say skip it.
