Lapfox Bandcamp Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Lapfox Bandcamp
Shoppers are deeply divided on Lapfox Bandcamp, with ratings clustering at the extremes. Supporters praise the platform's high-quality audio file formats (FLAC, WAV, ALAC) as superior to compressed alternatives, and appreciate the availability of free or pay-what-you-wish content. Positive reviewers describe it as their preferred music destination.
Negative reviews center on serious operational issues: unresponsive customer support, undelivered physical orders with no follow-up, account access problems, unexplained account balance changes, and concerns about inappropriate content visibility. Multiple reviewers report being ignored when attempting to resolve problems, which appears to be the most consistent complaint. Some issues involve third-party label fulfillment, but platform support failures are cited across several reviews.

Sorted by: Most recentAs someone who composes music professionally while also doing freelance development work, I had a really disappointing experience with this platform. I uploaded some music two months ago and thought their stats section would help me track how it was doing. The numbers weren't moving at all, so I got in touch with their support team to ask why my tracks weren't showing up in search results. After a long wait, their response was basically that I needed to advertise my own page on their site to bring people to it. That made me wonder what the point of their search function even is. Plus, if I have to do all the legwork to drive traffic, why should they take a cut of my sales? I could just sell directly from my own website instead and keep all the money. I ended up closing my account. Turns out they were basically hiding my content in searches the whole time, and I only found out because a friend told me.
Ordered a CD from a metal music label through this site and it never arrived. I emailed them three separate times and got radio silence. I also contacted the main site to complain and they supposedly sent a message to the label, but still nothing. I'm done with this place for good and definitely don't recommend trusting that particular label!
These people are straight up crooks. My balance went negative out of nowhere last week and when I tried to log in today they claimed they didn't recognize me. Their support team isn't answering anything.
This platform does an excellent job providing high quality music downloads with options like Flac, Wav, and Alac files. That's way better than what iTunes offers with their compressed 256 aac files. There's also a ton of free or name-your-price content if you want to explore. Keep in mind that when you buy physical stuff here you're buying straight from the artist, so patience is definitely worthwhile. My one complaint is that living outside the US I still get charged tax on every album, which feels unfair. Hopefully that changes soon. Overall this is going to be what music retail looks like in the future. Plus there are thousands of high-bitrate Flac downloads available now with really impressive sound quality. Staff has always been friendly and responsive with me.
Used this site once without trouble initially, but then came across extremely inappropriate content that was being featured by this platform. Even when not logged in, kids could easily stumble across offensive material right on the main page. My children were just trying to look for music and accidentally encountered things they shouldn't have. I reached out to complain and deleted the app immediately. Now I'm working on removing my account entirely. It's shocking that companies will promote anything just to generate attention.
This is my go-to music site hands down. I check here first before anywhere else. Really impressed with what they offer.
Been using this since early 2019 and overall it's been pretty solid. I've sold music here and the money I get back is reasonable for someone like me who's still pretty new to the music industry. The payout rate could be higher, sure, but I'm just happy that people are actually listening to what I create.
Watch out with this company. My experience has been really bad. I placed orders that never showed up and their customer service was completely unresponsive. When I filed a claim with PayPal, my order got cancelled and they said I'd get a refund in thirty days. Spoiler alert: I still haven't gotten that refund and it's been months. I've talked to other customers on social media and this isn't just happening to me. The truth is there's basically zero buyer protection with this service. Anyone else still waiting on refunds?
I placed a pre-order for a CD from an artist I really like back in late April. The expected delivery date was May 10. When I hadn't heard anything by May 18, I sent them a message on Saturday asking for an update. I was pleasantly surprised to get a response that same evening rather than having to wait until Monday. We exchanged a few messages, and I mentioned that I wasn't entirely sure if I'd ordered the physical CD or just the digital version. I dug up the confirmation email and sent it their way, but it didn't clearly specify which format I'd chosen. They couldn't locate my entry in their CD orders, but they graciously offered to send me one anyway if I provided my address. I worked with Rick throughout this whole process, and the guy seemed to be working around the clock. Their customer service was outstanding, and I'd absolutely shop with them again!
