Went in for an undercarriage check because of concerns from a long move. My car rides perfectly smooth with no rattles or play at all. The inspection recommended front brakes that I definitely don't need, then kept pushing ball joints, tie rods, alignment work, and control arm repairs. None of it made sense to me. I got a second opinion and the other shop found absolutely nothing wrong with any of those things. Don't trust them to touch your vehicle. They're just looking to make sales with fake problems.
Stopped by a location for a tire repair. They refused the job, saying the tire was too old at five years. Come to find out, the industry standard is ten years before a tire is considered unsafe. Then they claimed the tread was worn down. But the actual minimum is two-tenths and mine still had five-tenths. The original tire only came with seven-tenths anyway. They're just trying to scare people into buying new tires they don't need. I did my homework and found out they were wrong on both counts. They're targeting people who don't know better. Disappointed by the dishonest tactics. Going to reach out to management about this.
