What Shoppers Say About Beyond Retro
Beyond Retro draws strong praise from the majority of shoppers, who consistently highlight the solid quality of vintage clothing items that hold up over years of wear, reasonable pricing, and fast shipping. Many customers report positive experiences with responsive customer service and smooth return processes. However, a notable segment of reviews raises concerns about inconsistent customer service, with some shoppers experiencing unresolved issues like damaged items or missing order contents, and delayed responses to support inquiries through email channels.
Long-term customers express particular loyalty to the store, citing durable pieces and reliable shopping experiences over multiple years. While most issues appear resolvable through phone contact, some customers report difficulty getting timely email responses, and at least one case of a damaged item that went unresolved. The inventory occasionally includes design details (like embroidered logos) that may not appeal to all buyers, though this is a minor concern for most.

Sorted by: Most recentHave ordered plenty of things over the last 7 years and I still have all of it. The quality is solid and the pricing stays reasonable. Definitely worth shopping here.
Ordered a black Lee denim jacket and it showed up quickly. The only thing that bothered me was a radio station logo embroidered on the back. It was pretty prominent, so I overdyed it darker and now you can barely see it anymore. Shipping was speedy and once I made that adjustment, the jacket looks great.
The clothing I've ordered has been great overall. But one time an item showed up damaged with a seam that was completely torn and impossible to wear. I submitted photos through their online system and called to follow up a few days later. They never resolved it unfortunately. Since it wasn't too expensive I didn't lose sleep over it, but their customer service really dropped the ball and I don't plan on ordering again because of it.
Update: The team was helpful over the phone and sorted everything out. It took longer than expected but appreciate their efforts in resolving it. Initially two items from my order didn't arrive even though I was charged for them. I sent multiple emails to customer support without getting responses and even stopped by the Oxford Street location for help but didn't get any updates. Been shopping here for a decade and this first real problem made me feel taken advantage of.
The staff was really friendly and welcoming. They've got adorable sweaters and great clothing overall.
Recently started ordering from Beyond Retro online and have been blown away. Their shipping and return process is smooth and their customer service team responds to messages incredibly quickly. I've found my favorite place to shop for vintage clothing. The whole experience has been really solid.
Totally thrilled with this vintage Hawaiian shirt! Already getting compliments on it constantly, and I can't wait to rock it more when the weather gets warmer!
I genuinely can't say enough good things about Beyond Retro and how they handle customer service. Over the past year or so I've ordered tons of things and have been satisfied every time. Items match the photos and descriptions perfectly, measurements are accurate, and quality is consistently solid. Once I received a damaged item and they refunded me right away without any hassle. Their team has also been super quick and helpful with other questions I've had.
If you're in the US, reconsider shopping here. Getting something that doesn't fit right is pretty likely since each piece is one-of-a-kind. Problem is, return shipping will cost double what you paid for the item. I bought a bomber for around $50 and returning it would've been $100. Better off going with a domestic retailer.
Claims to be eco-conscious but their practices tell a different story. The amount of plastic waste in their packaging is ridiculous. My order came wrapped in plastic across two separate packages. To their response: come on, you can't defend all that plastic usage. It's just the cheapest option and nothing more. Your customers can see right through the sustainability talk.
