Blueair Air Purifiers Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Blueair Air Purifiers
Blueair Air Purifiers receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 23 shoppers rating the store at 1.2 out of 5. The dominant complaint across reviews centers on customer service failures: unresponsive email support, an AI-powered help system that creates frustration rather than solutions, long resolution times, and broken promises about replacements. Multiple reviewers report hardware reliability issues including units that stop working within days or months, power cord problems, and defective humidifiers requiring multiple replacements. The subscription management system also generates errors that prevent customers from making changes. A very small number of shoppers report positive experiences with product performance on allergies, but these are vastly outnumbered by complaints about both product durability and the company's unwillingness to stand behind its items.
Beyond equipment failures, reviewers highlight problems with the ordering and replacement process itself: confusing serial number entry systems, excessive follow-up questions before refusing help, strict no-return policies when customers order incorrect filters, and subpar replacement filter quality. The consensus suggests that even when products initially function, customers face significant barriers to getting support or replacements when issues arise.

Sorted by: Most recentSimilar to many others, I'm frustrated by the complete lack of technical help and customer support. My Blue 3350i that I bought at a retailer in July quit working. The unit powers on fine but the fan doesn't spin. Because the company is based in Sweden and uses local distributors in other countries, they essentially offer zero technical help. In the UK specifically, you have to fill out a form and wait for them to respond, try some basic troubleshooting steps yourself, and then send them a bunch of documentation including a video showing the problem. It's all stalling tactics. You get the sense they don't trust customers and aren't genuinely interested in keeping you as one. This isn't the kind of product where you can easily return it with no questions. They'll stall and drag their feet, probably hoping you'll give up and stop asking. I'm many emails deep with nothing to show for it yet. Not hopeful about how they'll handle this going forward. After going back and forth many times, I did eventually get a replacement. However, they never picked up the broken unit from my place. Reading other customer experiences has made me question the company's future.
One star is actually too generous for this company. Like many reviewers have mentioned, the charcoal filter gives off a nasty chemical smell. Worse than that though, it nearly poisoned my cat. My cat started acting strangely shortly after I turned it on. Within a few days, she became really sick. Once I shut it off, she started feeling better. I called their support and they said to just open a window and leave it running. Are you serious? For how long? Until the chemicals that shouldn't be there disappear on their own? An air purifier that actually makes the air worse is unbelievable. Total waste of money.
To be fair, the 3410 air purifier itself worked great throughout the year I've had it. It can be a little loud on the highest settings, but all the positive reviews about the product seemed justified. The problem came when I needed to get a new filter. Turns out this unusual proprietary filter that only this company uses has been discontinued. Now I'm forced to buy expensive leftovers from resellers online, and once those are gone, this will just be an expensive piece of trash for no reason. It's disgusting that a company would create filters that no one else makes and then just stop making them.
Bought the Health Protect 730i for around £800 and the motor quit working after just one year. It clicks all the time now. Reached out to both the company and seller but neither will help. Thing belongs in the trash. Looks fancy but doesn't actually perform well. Louder than competing models that have a cleaner design. Total waste of money. Stay away from this brand. They clearly don't care about their customers.
I'm warning you not to buy anything from this company. Over the years I've ordered quite a few products from them. The thing is, they're just not the same anymore and they've completely abandoned customer service. Used to be excellent, but those days are gone. After being a customer for six years, I'm done with them since their customer service basically doesn't exist.
My filter got moldy on the inside and then it started blowing moldy air throughout my house. Customer service acted like it wasn't their problem. They said it was my responsibility since you're supposed to swap out the filter every six months. The product should really come with clear instructions about this. When you do the math, you're looking at spending roughly £100 yearly just on filters plus the electricity to run the machine.
This company seems to have nothing but contempt for their customers and appear to be trying to shut down operations.
I've been trying to get ahold of their support team for weeks with no luck. Their contact form is useless because they never actually respond. I can't believe such a large corporation operates without real customer support. The US support team is responsive but there's basically nothing for international customers like me. I've tried everything I can think of. Now I'm stuck with this pricey broken air purifier that I had to save money for months to buy. It's outrageous. Who manages their customer service? How does a company allow this to happen?
Purchased a Blueair Pro M online last week. I would have preferred ordering through another retailer, but Blueair had a quicker delivery date. I've gotten three emails now saying my order is delayed. Now it's arriving later than the other place would have shipped it. Wish I'd read all the bad reviews about their terrible support before ordering. Being from a Scandinavian background, I'm disappointed in this Swedish company. They can do better.
I purchased a filter through a retailer on September eighth and it turned out to be undeliverable. I was told I would receive a refund, but as of mid-October, that still hasn't happened. I'm really let down by how this company has handled things and wouldn't suggest them to a friend.
