What Shoppers Say About Brahmin
Brahmin shoppers are sharply divided on the brand. Satisfied customers consistently praise the exceptional craftsmanship, quality materials, and beautiful designs of the bags and wallets. These loyal reviewers appreciate the helpful customer service and reliable delivery times, and many own multiple pieces despite acknowledging the premium pricing. However, a significant portion of reviewers report serious quality issues: hardware that fails within weeks of purchase, and poor durability relative to the high price point. Some customers also feel misled by product design, finding advertised features like wallet compartments impractical for actual daily use. The company's approach to warranty repairs (requiring customers to pay shipping) has frustrated at least one reviewer, suggesting potential gaps in customer service responsiveness.
The reviews paint a picture of inconsistent product quality and reliability. While Brahmin's design aesthetic and initial craftsmanship earn consistent praise from devoted customers, quality control problems and durability concerns appear substantial enough to give many shoppers pause before committing to the premium price tag.

Sorted by: Most recentI'm obsessed with my Brahmin bags! The construction is excellent and they look stunning. I have four right now and I'm definitely going to keep adding to the collection. There are so many gorgeous colors and styles to choose from. People always compliment me when I'm carrying one. My latest bag arrived today and it's absolutely beautiful. I couldn't be happier!
Paid five hundred dollars for a Brahmin bag and when it arrived, the shoulder strap was missing. I called them up and they said I'd have to pay between fifty and sixty-five bucks to get a replacement strap. They basically told me to deal with the store where I bought it, which doesn't really make sense. I own twenty of their bags, but after this, I'm switching to Hammitt. Brahmin just isn't what it used to be.
Ordered two bags back in October and still haven't received them. Planning to file a fraud claim this coming week. This whole situation is ridiculous and I don't have time for this!
That Berry Spice Dayan came across my social media feed when it first came out. I waited too long and missed it, but I found out a local store in the area had it in stock. I absolutely adore it, and the staff member who helped me was fantastic. They even got it sent to me by the next day.
I think it's really offensive that they use the name Brahmin for this brand. Brahmins have been the priests in Hinduism for thousands of years. Using that as a brand name is disrespectful, and making it even worse is that these bags are made from leather. It's cultural appropriation and it shouldn't be happening.
Got my wife a crossbody bag for her birthday, and she already has a few others. About a month in, the stitching started coming apart. When she reached out to them, their response was basically that since it was past 30 days, they couldn't help. They said she could mail it back if she wanted, but there were a bunch of rules about how to do it, and she'd have to cover the shipping and repair costs. I'm done buying from them after that experience. I'm putting in a complaint with the BBB. Guess I'm going back to Michael Kors since they actually stand behind what they sell.
My bag had a defect right out of the box. There was a pocket that wasn't even sewn closed, and it started falling apart as soon as I started using it. It's covered under warranty, so I can send it back for repairs, but they won't cover shipping costs. A large bag like that cost me almost sixty-five dollars just to mail it to them. That's not acceptable. I won't be purchasing from Brahmin again. For the price point, the quality just isn't there. Pretty disappointed overall.
I have several Brahmin bags in my collection, including three in the ink blue color. I had one of them hanging on my door near a couple of white Brahmin bags that I'd barely used. Unfortunately, the blue bag bled color all over those white bags. When I called the company to let them know, they basically said I'd need to pay to ship everything to them and they'd clean it up. No apology, no acknowledgment that this was their problem. Now I'm worried that other colors in my collection might bleed too, and I wanted to warn other people about this issue.
