Candlewood Hotel Company Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Candlewood Hotel Company
Candlewood Suites receives deeply divided reviews, with roughly half of shoppers giving one-star ratings and nearly a third awarding five stars. Those giving low ratings report serious problems including dirty or damaged rooms that do not match online photos, missing or filthy kitchenware, moldy items, and stained towels. Guests also describe issues with front desk staff being unhelpful or rude, disputes over reservations and refunds, lack of accessible facilities for disabled guests, and inadequate property security or maintenance.
The small proportion of five-star reviewers likely appreciate aspects such as the extended-stay model with kitchenettes, though their specific feedback is not detailed in recent reviews. The stark contrast between satisfied and dissatisfied guests suggests inconsistent service and property standards across locations, or significant gaps between online marketing and in-person experience.

Sorted by: Most recentThis Intercontinental is an absolutely excellent choice. It sits in the perfect spot in the well-known Ballsbridge neighborhood of Dublin. Getting around Dublin is simple thanks to buses, trams, and road access. The surroundings are beautiful. On-site you'll find a fantastic restaurant, fitness center, pool, and parking. Breakfast offerings are really impressive. The team is warm, inviting, and genuinely works to make your stay memorable. The Executive rooms are spectacular, especially with that gorgeous super king bed. Dublin visitors should definitely stay here. Thanks for making our time unforgettable. Couldn't ask for better!
I called Vijay at the InterContinental London near The O2 to ask about my booking for three deluxe rooms we needed for taking the kids to an Ariana Grande concert and staying overnight. He provided fantastic service, was thorough in answering every single question, brought in other team members when needed, and even offered to follow up personally. He went above and beyond. It's refreshing when a company actually cares about you after you pay, rather than forgetting about you completely. This hotel clearly isn't like that.
I'm honestly not sure where to begin describing this place, but here goes. If you're looking for a home away from home with incredible service and fantastic dining options, the Intercontinental in Mauritius is your spot. I went there with family once, loved it so much that I returned with my partner just half a year later. The presidential suite is absolutely worth booking, it's the standout room in the whole place. Everything is spotless, the property is gorgeous, and the whole experience felt incredibly special. The staff treat you like royalty. The beach area isn't the best feature, but I'm already planning my next visit for next year because the overall experience was just remarkable. I'm recommending it to everyone!
I stayed one night before catching a flight, which meant I basically just needed to shower and leave. When I grabbed a towel for my shower, I immediately noticed gross stains all over it. Since I didn't have another option, I had to use the hand towels instead. After looking more carefully, the towel was not only stained but also smelled terrible. For a 4-star establishment, you'd think they could provide at least one clean towel. It may sound minor, but it's a basic expectation. I was in such a rush to get to my cab that I didn't have time to complain in person, but I decided to reach out once I got home. I posted about it on social media this morning, and they responded asking me to email my information and room details. I did exactly that, feeling optimistic about the quick response. Their reply was just a generic apology saying they'd noted it in their system. I questioned how that actually helps me, and they just said they had it on file. I asked again how having something on file solves my problem, but at that point the conversation went nowhere. When you report issues through social media, they seem more focused on managing their image than actually fixing anything.
Great experience at this hotel. The rates were solid, and honestly we managed to snag an even better deal than expected. I'd definitely suggest it to anyone looking for a quality stay. Both my wife and I had a wonderful time and left feeling satisfied with our visit.
Stayed at Intercontinental Warsaw for three nights on business. Really solid hotel overall. The staff made us feel welcome, breakfast was excellent and included live harp performances which was a nice touch. Rooms are comfortable and facilities are top-notch. The gym is spacious and impressive, the pool is great, and the pricing is reasonable. Plus it's right in the center of everything. Definitely worth staying here.
