Cynthia Rowley Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Cynthia Rowley
Cynthia Rowley receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 25 reviews averaging 1.5 out of 5. The vast majority of complaints center on poor product quality that does not match the premium pricing, misleading return policies (items marked as final sale without clear disclosure), unresponsive customer service, and billing issues such as unauthorized charges. Shoppers report silk dresses that deteriorated after proper care, mittens with falling tufts, and accessories that appear expensive but feel cheap. Return requests go unanswered, refunds are delayed or partial, and email support is frequently non-responsive.
A small minority of shoppers praise the brand's customer service responsiveness and friendliness. However, given the rating distribution, these positive experiences are exceptions rather than the norm. The consistent pattern of complaints suggests systemic issues with product quality control, return process transparency, and customer service infrastructure that deter repeat purchases and create frustration among buyers investing significant amounts in Cynthia Rowley merchandise.

Sorted by: Most recentDon't waste your hard-earned money here. I bought a skirt and at checkout paid extra for a free return option. When I tried to use that return option, the system blocked me and said my item was final sale, even though it wasn't marked that way when I purchased it. I just wanted to swap it for a different size. Nobody responds to emails and the customer service is nonexistent. Why would I spend $500 on something I can't even exchange?
I bought 3 dresses. I wore one and followed the gentle hand wash care instructions for the silk. It came out looking like cheap garbage - so creased it can't even be ironed and now see-through. They refunded one but now won't respond about returning the 2 unworn dresses that are still in my closet. They were over 1000 dollars total but worth maybe 80. Be warned.
What a rip-off this company is. I spent 2k on an order and everything went wrong. First, they automatically added a free tote to my cart that I didn't want and then charged me 30 dollars for it, probably hoping I wouldn't notice. Then I spent weeks emailing about getting that refunded. Second, their sizing is a joke. I usually wear Medium but their description said to size down, so I ordered Small and it was still way too big. I asked to exchange for XS and they said no. I got another dress in Small that was so oversized it fell off my 5'6 140 pound body. They send you a bedsheet sized garment and tell you that's just how it is. It feels like they're intentionally getting rid of unwanted fabric from their warehouses by selling it as clothing. The shoes and belt I tried to return were overpriced and cheap quality.
Don't purchase from this brand. I got some mittens that look expensive but are actually very cheap. All the tufts are falling off. I contacted them about a refund and a return but got wrong info first, then just ignored and no response at all. If you're thinking about ordering from them, listen to my experience. Everything looks pricey but the actual materials are cheap cheap cheap. Their customer service is awful.
I ordered two flower ties labeled as organza from this website and just got them. The quality is really poor. When I tried to start a return they said I couldn't because they were final sale, but that wasn't mentioned when I ordered. The price isn't even a deal - the same flower ties are on other websites for 105 dollars. These look like they should cost maybe 25 each. I wouldn't have ordered something I couldn't see in person if returns weren't allowed. Customer service has completely ignored me.
The team here is really friendly and they got back to me quickly when I reached out.
Don't buy anything from this brand. Their Astro Pants run way small - a size 6 is more like a size 4. They won't let me return them. Even The Real Real knows better and won't accept their pants. That's 345 dollars down the drain.
I ordered the Astro Pants in green in my regular size. The legs and hips were great but I couldn't button the waistband at all. When I measured it, it was nowhere close to the size I ordered - it was actually two sizes smaller than labeled. I sent them back. I definitely won't buy from this designer again. Their sizing is dishonest and way off. The waist I ordered as a US10 measured like a US6. That's a lot of money to spend on pants that don't fit as advertised.
Be careful buying from this brand. My tee had defective stitching around the neckline that made it look wrinkled and puckered. I asked for an exchange but they told me I was outside their return window and refused to replace it. This shirt cost 120 dollars plus shipping and the quality is terrible. Their response was unhelpful and they're clearly unethical. Think twice before giving them your money.
They knowingly sent me damaged merchandise and won't refund me. I bought shoes on sale and they arrived with a bright orange sticker on the box that said DAMAGED. The sides were rubbed raw like they'd been worn and the color was coming off everywhere. They're completely unwearable. I've called stores, filled out return requests, and either get no response or am ignored. I've been trying to resolve this for 4 months with no luck. I'll never buy from them again unless it's at a discount store where their stuff ends up for a fraction of the price.
