Dainese Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Dainese
Dainese is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 22 shoppers, and the overwhelming majority of reviews are negative. The core issues center on shipping delays, restrictive return policies, and customer service failures. Multiple reviewers reported orders not shipping within stated timeframes, lack of exchange options, and expensive return shipping to Italy. When products arrived, some shoppers encountered quality issues like leather peeling or flaking on motorcycle jackets within days of light use, only to face refusals from customer service to process returns or exchanges. One small segment of reviewers acknowledged that Dainese products themselves are solid, but the purchasing experience through their online store creates significant friction that overshadows any product quality.
The few positive reviews cite product quality, but the vast majority of shoppers explicitly warn against ordering online from Dainese or its TCXboots division. Complaints about slow fulfillment (8+ days for standard orders, unshipped orders after a week), outdated return policies that require paying substantial international shipping costs, poor sizing guidance despite detailed size charts, and hostile customer service interactions form a consistent pattern across recent feedback. Shoppers feel the company has not adapted its e-commerce and support infrastructure to meet 2024 expectations for a major motorcycle gear retailer.

Sorted by: Most recentPlease don't order from them online, especially through their TCXboots division - I really hate writing negative reviews but this needs to be said. I placed an order over a week ago, picked the 5-7 business day option, and it still hasn't shipped. I specifically needed it for a weekend trip. I've contacted their support team several times and all I get back are generic copy-paste messages saying I'll be notified when it ships. This shouldn't take this long, and they're clearly not honoring their shipping timeframe. They say it takes 5 business days just to process, and we're already past that point. At this point I'm genuinely worried I won't get anything at all. Going to have to dispute this with my bank. If you don't believe me, search online for Dainese customer support complaints - there are tons of horror stories just like this one.
The products themselves are solid. But be really careful ordering online because they have zero exchange policy. Get the sizing wrong and you're paying roughly 65 euros to ship back to Italy, then you have to order again and cross your fingers. That system doesn't work in 2024.
Watch out: slow delivery, difficult returns, and questionable shipping costs plus bad sizing info. I spent time studying their size chart online and even measured both hands carefully because shipping costs at £10 seemed steep. The gloves arrived slowly - took 8 days - and didn't fit when I opened them. Their customer service explained I'd have to send them back, wait up to 2 weeks for credit, then pay £10 again to get the next size shipped. When I asked if they'd cover the second shipment since it was their sizing chart that caused the mix-up, they flat out refused. This isn't the first time they've done this to me. What really annoyed me was the massive labeling inside - 3 separate 3-inch tags crammed into a small glove, making them harder to put on. Their products are decent when they work, but everything else about dealing with them is frustrating. Upper management clearly isn't listening to customer feedback like many businesses these days.
Within a week of light use, the Racing 5 leather motorcycle jacket started having major problems - the leather was peeling off everywhere. I tried dealing with customer service and it was a nightmare. They refused to process a return or exchange even within the proper timeframe. For what you pay, the gear quality is mediocre and their support team is completely unhelpful. Definitely be careful.
The Racing 5 leather jacket started falling apart after just one week of light riding. The leather is literally flaking off. Honestly, the customer service was horrible and they wouldn't even consider a return or swap even though I was still within the window. The quality doesn't match the price tag at all, and customer support is basically useless. Be warned.
First off, they won't do exchanges, which means if you pick the wrong size you have to return it, sit around for three weeks waiting for your money back, then place a new order and pray it fits. Their customer service has been the absolute worst I've experienced. Staff are curt and disrespectful. For a company this big in the motorcycle world, you'd expect some customer loyalty, but instead you get treated like you're bothering them. It felt like talking to someone on their last 5 minutes of their shift just trying to clock out. I normally skip leaving reviews but after paying this company a bunch of money for gear and getting treated that poorly, I can't bring myself to ever give them business again.
For starters, they don't do exchanges. Order the wrong size and you're stuck returning it, waiting nearly 3 weeks for your refund, then buying again and hoping it works out. Their customer service is honestly the worst I've dealt with - short, rude, and dismissive. You'd think a major motorcycle gear brand would treat customers better. Felt like I was talking to someone counting down to the end of their shift. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but paying hundreds of dollars and getting treated poorly like that? Never buying from them again.
Worst experience possible! The gloves fell apart after a month when the glue started separating at the knuckles. Extremely disappointed and they've refused to replace or even repair them. I'm throwing away all my Dainese stuff and moving the whole crew over to Alpinestars.
Worst experience I've had! These gloves were only a month old when the glue started peeling off at the knuckles. Really let down by how they handled it - they refused to replace or even repair them. I'm done with Dainese and switching my whole team over to Alpinestars. All their gear is getting tossed.
