What Shoppers Say About For Love & Lemons
For Love & Lemons receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split between strong enthusiasm and significant dissatisfaction. Positive reviewers praise the aesthetic appeal of the dresses and highlight exceptional customer service experiences, including accommodating exchanges and honoring sale prices. However, a substantial portion of shoppers report serious issues: incomplete or undelivered orders met with unhelpful support responses, aggressive restocking fees that significantly reduce refunds, quality concerns about construction and fabric despite high price points (often exceeding $600), and sizing inconsistencies that require ordering up a full size.
The core complaint centers on post-purchase friction. Shoppers describe feeling dismissed when reporting problems, with customer service allegedly suggesting chargebacks rather than resolving issues directly, and disputed claims about delivery signatures. Return and refund processes appear punitive, with some customers losing 25% or more of their purchase value due to restocking fees even when items are returned unworn. The brand's premium pricing makes these service failures particularly frustrating for buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentFor Love & Lemons totally ripped me off. My order showed up incomplete (two items were so bad I had to send them back), and instead of actually helping me they told me to file a chargeback. I followed their process but the dispute got rejected, probably because they claimed everything was delivered when it wasn't and they didn't acknowledge anything I told them. My neighbor actually opened the package before me. This company is dishonest, they're slow to respond, and once you've paid them you're basically on your own. Zero apology, zero accountability, terrible customer service overall. The clothing quality itself is garbage, the customer service is garbage, and honestly it's just not worth your money or your time.
I placed an order with For Love & Lemons and my package never arrived. The tracking showed a signature confirmation, but it wasn't from me. When I reached out to their support team multiple times, they only offered a replacement or store credit for something I didn't even get. On June 6th I submitted another request specifically for a refund, and since then they've gone silent. If you're ordering internationally, I'd skip this brand entirely because the hassle just isn't worth the risk.
I picked up the Snowflake Sequin Maxi Dress for over $600 and I was shocked at how poorly it was put together. The fabric feels cheap and the cut of the top is completely different from how it looks in their photos. It's pretty disappointing.
I'm really into this brand. The dresses I got are gorgeous and I definitely recommend them, though I'll be honest they're pricey so I mainly shop when there's a sale going on. I'm usually a small or size 4, but I always go up a size to medium when ordering from them.
I had an amazing experience with their customer service team. I bought a gown on sale and then realized I'd picked the wrong color. I messaged them to ask if I could swap it for the right one, and they checked my order, saw it hadn't shipped yet, and cancelled it for me. Then they sent me a link to order the correct gown while keeping the sale price and they threw in expedited shipping too. I was really impressed by how quickly and efficiently they handled everything. Thanks so much!
I ordered the same dress in two different sizes hoping one would work but neither fit my style right. Both items went back in original condition, yet when I got my refund they'd already deducted a large amount in fees. Some of that was the return fee which is whatever, but they told me they charge 25% for restocking and said there were signs of wear. If the items showed any damage, why didn't they contact me about that before processing the refund? This brand is overpriced for what you get, the clothes are cheaply made and even smelled off when I opened them. The quality absolutely doesn't justify those prices. I regret the purchase and wouldn't recommend shopping here.
I bought the same dress in two different sizes because neither seemed right for my style. Everything was in perfect condition when I sent it back, but after they processed the refund they took out a huge chunk of money. Some was the return fee which I get, but when I asked about it they said they hold back 25% for restocking plus they claimed there were signs of wear. So why wouldn't they let me know about that before taking the deduction? It's just another overpriced brand selling cheap clothing. The pieces smelled bad and the construction definitely doesn't match the price tag. Won't shop there again and can't recommend it.
When my order arrived the items looked beautiful with excellent quality that matched the pictures perfectly, but the color shade didn't work well on me so I needed to initiate a return. I missed the return deadline by about 4 days because I didn't read the policy carefully, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to contact their support team. They got back to me really fast and sent me a return label plus return instructions within 2 hours. Their response was quick and exactly what I needed. I'm super grateful for their help and I'm already ordering another set that I think will be more my style. The support team, especially their help, was wonderful!
My order arrived and the pieces were absolutely lovely with great quality that matched the pictures, but the color just wasn't flattering on me so I needed to return them. I didn't read the return window carefully enough and was actually about 4 days late, but figured it wouldn't hurt to reach out to customer service and see if they'd help. Within 2 hours they had me a return label and instructions. Super fast and exactly what I needed. I'm really grateful for how they handled it and I'm ordering another set that I think will look better on me. Their team was fantastic!
I ordered the Opal Mini Dress for an event and got a Small based on my measurements which should have been perfect. Honestly I probably should have sized up because this dress runs super short. The site says the Small should be 32.5 inches but mine measured only 29 inches, so their measurements are off. When I'm standing still it looks great, but I can't bend over or sit down without basically flashing everyone. For what they're charging, I'm really let down by the quality and the material. It feels like cheap fast fashion, something you'd find on a discount site. I got it during a sale but it was still over $400 with shipping, so for that price point it's just not worth it. Since it's marked final sale I can't exchange it for the Medium that would actually work either, which feels kind of sketchy.
