What Shoppers Say About GORUCK
GORUCK shoppers report severe and recurring customer service failures that overshadow the brand's military heritage and product reputation. Multiple customers experienced order cancellations without explanation, unresponsive support teams that ignored urgent communications about shipping errors, and inventory issues where staff provided vague timelines on restocking. One reviewer praised the company's ability to navigate shipping regulations and found their products solid, but positive feedback is sparse relative to complaints about unresponsive communication and lack of follow-up from customer service.
While some customers acknowledge that GORUCK products themselves meet quality standards, the purchasing experience is marked by frustration. Concerns include high pricing relative to service quality, ambiguous claims about American manufacturing when some products are made overseas, and a warranty system that may not deliver on promises. The polarized rating distribution suggests shoppers either have acceptable product experiences but poor service interactions, or they encounter obstacles at the purchase or support stage that poison their entire relationship with the brand.

Sorted by: Most recentRucking is an awesome way to exercise and I'm glad I found it. I appreciate that GORUCK has all that basic information on their site. That said, their gear may be well made but it's way overpriced for what you get. I'm fortunate to be in Europe where I found a better option, Force Fitness, and bought a forty-five pound setup for half what GORUCK charges.
I've had okay experiences with this company before, but the new MACV2 boots I just got are pretty disappointing. The airflow is noticeably worse compared to older versions, and the fit seems off, especially around the toe area. The right boot also showed up with a visible stain on the top. Looks like their quality control might be slipping.
This plate pack is way too small for someone of average build, whether male or female. Really let down by this. I tried reaching out through email and phone numbers they have listed and got nothing back. Zero response. Not sure if they're operating from overseas or what, but don't waste your cash on this.
UPDATE: GoRuck got back to me saying they'd send a bag to the correct address as a one-time exception. Didn't expect that at all but I really appreciate it. My initial experience was frustrating. Tried to fix my shipping address minutes after ordering a canvas bag. No working phone number and they didn't respond to emails I sent right away. They finally answered over an hour later after already creating a shipping label, saying there was nothing they could do, even though it hadn't shipped yet. I'd recommend going elsewhere if you can. Once they have your money, they stop caring.
Awful customer service here. Put in an order on November eleventh for equipment we needed for a suicide awareness event. After a month of trying to reach them by email, website contact form, social media, and everything else, they finally reply saying there was a stock problem and it would ship the next week, which they said on December eleventh. It's December twenty-second now and still no shipping confirmation. Terrible operation and their prices are way too high.
Quality bags that seem built to last forever. I ordered from GoRuck to ship internationally and it got here quickly, but FedEx added a bunch of taxes and import fees. I reached out to GoRuck and they refunded everything, the whole amount. Would definitely order from them again.
A friend gave me a really nice three hundred fifty dollar backpack from GoRuck. It's well made for sure, but the thing weighs so much even when it's empty that I'd never actually use it. I sent it back but all they gave me was store credit. Spent forever trying to find something else I actually wanted and tried shoes in different styles, but nothing fit right (they're ridiculously narrow, I don't understand how larger athletes are supposed to wear them). They were happy to subtract shipping from my credit but keep refusing to just refund my money. The last time I asked they said my credit can't be refunded and will disappear after a year. Are you kidding? They've been holding my gift money hostage forever and now they're going to just take it. This company is crooked. Stay away! And never buy someone a gift from them.
Ordered a backpack and a weight plate. Got the bag fine. The plate showed up at my neighbor's place and I never received it. FedEx says they delivered it. GoRuck says they delivered it. But I don't have it. Nobody cared. FedEx never followed up after I called three times. Then GoRuck just stopped responding. So now I've got a small pack for two hundred fifty dollars. Update: GoRuck finally got back to me and they're sending another plate. Customer service turned out to be good. Hope they don't ship it FedEx again because that seems to be where things are falling apart. I've only heard great things about this company and I mean that. Their bag is awesome.
I've used their stuff and the quality is decent but honestly it costs way too much!
Bought some I/O trainers during a clearance sale and ended up returning them. They handled everything smoothly and quickly, both answering my question about whether closeout items could be returned and processing the return itself. The shoes were great quality but the lace holes bothered my foot. Wish it had worked out. Also grabbed a Rucker 3.0 and a thirty pound weight and both are excellent. Sent them an email beforehand asking if they'd be getting another color soon and heard back fast. Overall they've been quick to help with questions and their stuff is well made.
