What Shoppers Say About YUMI
YUMI receives polarized feedback, with shoppers either enthusiastically praising the product quality or expressing frustration with operational issues. Satisfied customers highlight the superior taste and texture of the ice cream, praising its richness and creaminess without ice crystals, and commend the toddler snacks for using clean, real ingredients with purity certifications that appeal to health-conscious parents. However, a significant portion of reviewers report consistent problems with customer service responsiveness, order accuracy, inconsistent shipping timelines, and unclear promotional terms (such as coupon restrictions that apply only to subscriptions).
The product itself garners strong loyalty among satisfied customers, with parents reporting their toddlers eagerly consume the snacks and requesting them repeatedly. The main disconnect appears to be between product quality and the company's operational execution, particularly around order fulfillment, shipping reliability, and customer support responsiveness. Some customers also noted disappointment with product discontinuation, though the company has acknowledged shifts in its product lineup.

Sorted by: Most recentSuch a relief to not have to figure out what to feed him. My second baby is using their products now, and like my first, he's loved almost every flavor they've offered.
Yumi is our go to baby and toddler food brand! We really enjoy the quality of what they make for our little ones.
The delivery timeline has gotten worse as time goes on. At first I got it every Monday, then it switched to Tuesdays, now I don't even know when I'll have it. They're becoming really unreliable and what they send changes from week to week. Sometimes it's super watery, sometimes it's too thick. I also tried the bites and several of them were mushy and watery when they showed up.
My baby will eat basically anything, but he refused the Yumi products. We canceled within the first 30 days with written confirmation. Despite that, they kept charging our card. The charges were higher than our subscription price, and they charged us weekly for several months straight. When we caught on, we got a partial refund, but then I had to keep calling customer service to let them know they still owed us. It was a nightmare.
The purees were fine overall, but a lot of them came out too thin to give on their own. When the bites arrived, most of them were crumbled or mushed up from thawing during shipping. The customer service here is absolutely terrible, and I wish I'd switched to someone else much sooner. Plus, my toddler, who normally eats anything, didn't want most of their bites. After I tried them myself, I got why he wasn't interested.
I was really looking forward to trying Yumi. The menu selection is huge and the fact that it's prepared fresh each week felt worth paying extra for. Getting set up with my subscription was pretty smooth. But then it got annoying really fast. Tons of pages on their site have errors, there's no scroll bar so you navigate with your arrow keys instead, which seems small but when you're picking your jars and can't see your choices or how many more slots you have left, you end up scrolling up and down constantly, which gets old. When my food came in, some items were already expired when it arrived. How does freshly made food get expired before you get it? No clue. You don't get confirmation or reminder emails, so you need to keep track of everything yourself. That's pretty tough when you're working all day. I really like the food options, but the website experience is annoying and they clearly don't get what their customers actually need. They need to improve their website, their communication, and how consistent they are.
Totally unreliable. Items don't even leave the warehouse by the promised delivery date. I wouldn't feel comfortable feeding the baby food if it ever did arrive. I cancelled my subscription and if the refund for the food I ordered over a week ago doesn't come through, I'm chargebacks with my credit card company. Stay away and go with Little Spoon instead, which has solid reviews.
I depended on this company every week to feed my baby. After 2 weeks straight with no deliveries, I was really upset. I had to take time out of my schedule to run to the store and grab baby food because I had nothing to feed my kid. That wasn't even the first time this happened. They've shipped orders that never actually arrived, sent me wrong jars or missing jars, and once my box came almost 2 weeks late with warm food and mold growing inside. My experience with this company has been so bad that I finally stopped ordering. I need a baby food company that actually cares about my baby's needs and is dependable. I can't use a company that doesn't deliver on their subscriptions, sends the wrong items, and makes up shipping dates. Their customer service is awful and you'll find yourself scrambling through your fridge looking for something to feed your baby because they won't show up.
I was really pumped about Yumi at first, and their whole idea of fresh, healthy food sounded perfect. But I've been let down by their quality control big time. Every single order has come with either expired products or jars with broken seals. Here's what happened: My first order on November 8 showed up on November 16, and one jar had an expiration date of November 6, which was before I even placed the order. Plus, 3 more jars had broken vacuum seals. I contacted customer service right away, and they were quick to respond and offered credits, but they never explained why I got expired food if everything is made fresh weekly, or what caused the seals to fail. They did say the kitchen was dealing with seal problems, but I still haven't gotten details on what that was or how they're fixing it. My next weekly delivery had 2 more jars with broken seals, and just this morning I got another order with 2 more broken seals. I'm giving them 3 stars because the food quality itself seems solid.
