I switched to just vacuuming without the mop function, but I accidentally left it running overnight once and it soaked my wooden floor and damaged it. A week later one of the mop pads fell off and the whole unit stopped functioning. I reported the problems back then and asked for a replacement or refund, but nothing has happened. The support process is incredibly slow and aggravating. Good luck getting anyone on the line, and when they do respond, they just ask for more photos and videos. Then you wait weeks with no follow-up. When they finally respond again, they ask for even more pictures. This whole thing has been dragging on forever with zero resolution. Looking at other people's reviews, I'm clearly not the only one dealing with this nonsense.
The customer service at this company is absolutely terrible. My Roomba is three years old and replacement batteries for it are no longer available, which basically makes my vacuum worthless.
I bought the combo model in 2023 hoping it would make my cleaning easier, but it turned out to be a waste. It doesn't vacuum properly, the mopping doesn't work at all, it constantly bumps into walls, and it has no sense of direction. The new unit works mechanically, but it doesn't clean well enough for this price point. I use it daily on my kitchen floor and it never leaves the surface actually clean. I can always see crumbs left behind even after running the deep clean cycle, and it does a terrible job at the edges. My older, louder Roomba actually picks up debris and fits in more spaces. The Max 705 seems designed with flashy features in mind rather than actually cleaning your floors. With the early failure, the replacement hassle, and the poor cleaning results, I definitely can't recommend this.
