What Shoppers Say About KUT from the Kloth
KUT from the Kloth is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 21 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. Recurring complaints center on aggressive return policies that shoppers say are not clearly disclosed at checkout, with strict 21-day windows that close during holidays and no exceptions granted. Customers also report poor online customer service, including unresponsive phone lines and slow shipping without tracking updates. Some reviewers specifically mention dissatisfaction with raw hem jeans that unravel and appear messy rather than intentionally styled.
A small percentage of shoppers report positive experiences, typically mentioning that items purchased in physical stores met their expectations. However, the overwhelming pattern in reviews suggests that online purchases frequently result in return complications, hidden final sale designations, and frustration with customer service responsiveness. Several long-time customers indicate they have stopped ordering from the brand due to these issues.

Sorted by: Most recentBoth items I got had problems. The shorts were cut super uneven and when I asked about it, they said it was designed that way to "cover your bottom" which doesn't make any sense. They were also supposed to have a 6 inch inseam but they didn't all the way around. The pants came in over an inch shorter than what the website said. When I tried to return them they refused to cover the shipping cost even though I sent pictures showing the defects. This company is difficult to work with and not customer oriented at all.
This company is awful! I ordered jeans and had to send them back twice because the sizing was way off. Really bizarre. They charged me fees the first return and then on the second one they only refunded my shipping because they claimed the pants were worn, which is absolute garbage.
I ordered my usual size and style, but the fit was completely off and the material felt totally different. The quality and craftsmanship were way worse than before - these jeans will probably rip apart after just a few washes. When I tried to return them, they charged me a restocking fee and suggested I use that credit toward another pair instead. That's not happening because I'm not willing to risk my money on another pair that might be just as bad. I asked about getting my full refund back and got told they'd "pass it along" but nothing happened. I feel totally ripped off and I'm done with this company. I'm going to tell everyone I know to stay away from them.
I absolutely love this company and their jeans! Just remember to size down and you'll be super happy with them. The selection of styles is fantastic. I buy from department stores and straight from their website. Their return process is really fair and they work with you if there's a problem.
I've always gone with their brand for pants because of the quality, but what I got recently looked like a cheap knockoff, possibly made overseas. There was no triangle reinforcement at stress points, just cheap round ones instead. No embroidery on the pockets or waistband either, and the back was missing the three button loops it should have had. The stitching is sloppy with seams fraying everywhere. If you want the real thing, check out what's available on resale sites instead.
Got two pairs on sale in my regular size but they fit huge. When I went to return them, I saw their site offering a smaller credit if I returned them normally, or a better credit if I reordered right away. So I ordered two different styles in a smaller size right then. They never gave me the sale price on the new order, didn't apply the reorder incentive, and forgot to send a return label. I waited for the price to be adjusted and it never happened. When I went back to print the return label myself, the system made me restart the whole return and charged me an extra processing fee. I called and got through to a supervisor who refunded the fee but still wouldn't fix the sale price or the reorder discount I earned. I ended up paying almost twice what I should have on those second two pairs. Their whole system is broken and makes you jump through hoops just to get screwed. Customer service said they couldn't fix it even though it should have been simple. I work too hard to deal with a company that's this dishonest with such bad systems and worse support. I'm taking my money elsewhere and skipping them completely unless you enjoy fighting and frustration.
Watch out. They keep changing their return policy to work against customers and they use a slow shipping method that takes forever. By the time your item arrives, you're almost at your return deadline and they won't approve refunds anyway. This business uses shady tactics and I'm out over $300 because of it. They've lost me as a customer for good.
After 15 years of being loyal to this brand and buying their jeans and trousers regularly, I'm completely done. I purchased two pairs of trousers and the seams literally came unraveled the first time I wore them. I reached out to customer service and they asked for pictures, which I sent back within hours. Three weeks went by with multiple follow-ups from me asking for help, but they never responded. I'm stuck with two pairs I can't even wear because the crotch and pocket seams are falling apart. You just lost a loyal customer, Kut. You need to do better.
I was first introduced to this brand through a local boutique I shop at. That purchase went fine but the jeans are just okay, nothing special. They use vanity sizing so you need to go down a couple sizes. For Christmas I bought several pairs of jeans and shorts directly from their website during Black Friday sales when I do most of my holiday shopping online. I've never encountered any store that makes you return something before Christmas and I didn't see this anywhere in the checkout process. My mom wrapped them and gave them to me on Christmas and that's when I opened them. Two pairs were good but one wasn't right. When I went to return the one pair, their site said it needed to be back by December 23rd. I've literally never seen a return deadline that early in all my years of shopping. So I emailed the support address they provide and sent three messages with absolutely no response. I'm not just going to stop buying from them directly, but I'm also sharing my experience with the boutique I shop at and suggesting they find better brands to carry. Goodbye, Kut.
This company's customer service is basically nonexistent. My order was missing an item and I called their support line every single day for two weeks straight with zero response. I also sent emails but never heard back. They clearly don't care about fixing problems or helping their customers. The business feels intentionally dismissive and that's a shady way to operate. Don't buy directly from them. Plus the clothes themselves are poorly fitted and the quality is cheap.
