What Shoppers Say About LL Flooring
LL Flooring receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 25 shoppers rating the company 1.5 out of 5. Recurring complaints center on product quality issues, including flooring that cracks, fractures, or produces noise shortly after installation. Customers report significant problems with pricing transparency, with final invoices substantially exceeding original quotes and unexpected charges appearing late in transactions. Additional frustrations include incomplete shipments without proper disclosure of backorder status, misleading product grading upon delivery, and unclear terms regarding installation services such as appliance moving.
While some customers acknowledge friendly sales staff and competitive initial pricing, these positives are vastly outweighed by post-purchase problems and customer service difficulties. Issues with product durability, billing accuracy, and communication with installation teams appear consistently across reviews. Several shoppers express regret about their purchases and note that checking reviews beforehand would have changed their decision to buy from LL Flooring.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir warranty is basically worthless. We installed these floors back in 2020 during the lockdowns and filed a claim about a year later when the planks started separating and cracking. They said everything was fine and within their standards. Fast forward to 2024 and the whole floor needs replacing. Turns out we got the wrong underlayment, which made the thin planks fail. Now we're facing a massive replacement bill and the company won't help. These floors are sold as-is, no questions asked. Don't count on them to stand behind what they sell.
The Cherry Hill store gave me one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I told the store manager that I wanted tight, low pile carpet that wouldn't show footprints easily. I looked at a small sample and the manager insisted it was exactly what I wanted. The installation crew did great work, but once we started walking around the room, it actually showed more footprints than my old carpet. I explained how disappointed I was and that this wasn't what I was looking for. When I called corporate, they said the store had to handle it. I've called and messaged the Cherry Hill store multiple times since then and now they're ignoring me. I can't recommend this company because their promises don't mean anything and they don't support you when they're the ones who made the mistake.
Steer clear of this company at all costs. Their communication was terrible from start to finish. They hired inexperienced subcontractors who didn't speak English, and the damage was extensive: the flooring got damaged, walls were damaged, furniture got damaged. It was a complete nightmare from beginning to end.
We had a 50-year warranty on our 7mm vinyl plank flooring installed in 2020. Now the flooring is popping and planks are sinking, so I contacted LL Flooring for help. They told me there's nothing they can do because the installation warranty is only one year. What a ripoff. Also, I thought I was getting CoreTek but it turned out to be some knockoff version of theirs. Really disappointed with everything.
I should have read the reviews before buying from LL Flooring. It was hands down the worst flooring product I've ever laid down. I'm not a professional, but I've installed enough floors to know what I'm doing. I had two friends who actually are flooring experts come look at what I got, and they were shocked. Every single piece of flooring shrunk, leaving gaps between most of them. The seams were a pain to fit together and kept chipping and cracking during installation. I switched to American Flooring for the rest of the house and it went down perfectly without a single issue. Easy to work with and beautiful. LL Flooring just feels cheap right out of the box. The seams are brittle and it doesn't seem to acclimatize properly even after sitting for a week. I filed a warranty claim but they told me I hadn't read the fine print which only covers surface scratches, not structural problems. I lost $2,000 on this disaster. When I told them I'd be leaving bad reviews everywhere, they acted like they didn't care. At this point, they seem like a sinking ship.
We compared prices for waterproof vinyl for our downstairs remodel and found that LL Flooring had the best pricing for what we wanted. We made sure to level everything out and bought all the underlayment from them as well. We installed everything following their instructions and left proper expansion space around the walls. Two years into it and the tabs on the vinyl are breaking off in the high traffic areas of our home. The vinyl itself started peeling. When I called to file a warranty claim with pictures, they said they'd look into it. But then they told me they won't cover the tab damage because we installed it ourselves and they don't warrant that. We won't be buying from them again.
The installation crew was professional and courteous. However, there was some damage to the door molding, likely during the furniture moving process. They also somehow broke a wheel on an office chair. After they moved a metal filing cabinet, the second drawer stopped opening. I called the store and they basically said they couldn't believe a filing cabinet could get damaged. I had to buy a new cabinet and now I'm stuck paying for installation plus the cost of the replacement. Not happy about how they handled the damages.
Getting the hardwood delivered went okay, but the installation was a nightmare. The installer was supposed to finish in two days but took fourteen days instead. He didn't show up to scheduled appointments and had a different excuse every single day. The whole process was impolite and messy. He wasted a lot of product, throwing out four complete boxes. After he left, he didn't give me back my key, so I had to call his supervisor to get it. This whole experience was the worst I've had.
Skip this company! I bought engineered hardwood flooring for my entire house and had it installed over a year ago. Everything seemed fine until about 8 months in when boards started cracking in multiple rooms. When I reached out to them, they blamed my installer for poor installation. The problem is my installer moved away and I've had multiple other flooring experts inspect the work. Every single one said the flooring itself was defective, not the installation. Yet somehow, LL Flooring keeps making excuses and won't fix anything. Please take your business somewhere else unless you want to waste thousands of dollars. Worst experience I've had with any company.
I skipped other Labor Day deals to use LL Flooring and ended up regretting it big time. The whole process was unprofessional, lazy, and uncaring. I'd fallen in love with a specific floor and scheduled an in-home consultation. After that, everything fell apart. I got an email saying they'd received my estimate information and someone would call with the numbers. That call never came. Two weeks later when they finally called, it wasn't to give me the estimate but to tell me I couldn't get the floor I'd been waiting for. Terrible way to run a business.
