These boots didn't fit properly. After wearing them for less than a day, I asked for a refund but Midwest claimed that a tiny spot of dirt meant the boots were damaged. Their refusal to help was completely unreasonable.

As a truck driver for 40 years who spends most of my time out of the cab, I've tried every major brand of American-made work boots. Thorogood boots beat out the competition in every single way. Five stars, no question.

The ordering and shipping process went fine, but the boots didn't fit right so I'm returning them. Their return process and policy are really frustrating. If you happen to get the perfect fit first try, great. If not, prepare yourself for a headache. I'm done doing business with this company.

You shouldn't have to pay extra to return something broken that you already paid to have delivered. Customer service was awful and I won't shop there again.

The Thorogood boots themselves are solid, but watch out for Midwest Boots and their customer service. If you order the wrong size or need to return something, getting your refund back can turn into a frustrating process. Shopping online with them can be a nightmare, especially when they're quick to take your money but drag their feet when it comes time to handle returns or give you your money back.

I wish I'd checked reviews before buying from Midwest Boots. Bought a pair of work boots for my son as a Christmas gift. We live on a farm so he'd wear them hard every single day. We shipped them back and got them returned with a note saying they had excessive use. Excessive use? Because he wore them daily on a working farm? This company doesn't stand behind their products. These boots are only good if you're not actually doing any real work in them. I've never encountered a company that wouldn't honor their own warranty. I work in manufacturing and we replace high end equipment no matter what because we value customers and want their business in the future. I'm done with them. Twisted X boots lasted twice as long. I'm going with a different brand that actually honors what they promise. Don't buy from any company that won't back up their warranty.

Go with Red Wing instead, or just save yourself the headache and buy something cheap at a discount store. Also, their review site is sketchy and they won't let you post negative feedback.

When I tried contacting their shipper, the tracking information was wrong. This company treats customers like garbage no matter how much money you spend. They push all the blame onto you and UPS and act like they couldn't care less. Honestly stay far away. They have zero interest in providing decent service to anyone. Expect dishonesty, expect to get hung up on, expect terrible treatment all around.
