Owlet Baby Care Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Owlet Baby Care
Owlet Baby Care receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 18 shoppers rating the store 1.6 out of 5. The most consistent complaint centers on product reliability and hardware failures, particularly with monitoring devices stopping unexpectedly after a few months of use. Customers report frequent connectivity issues, false alarms, and app malfunctions. The second major issue is customer service: shoppers describe support as unresponsive, unhelpful, and unwilling to honor warranty claims, with some customers reporting weeks of ignored emails and disputes over registration versus purchase dates for warranty eligibility.
A small percentage of reviewers acknowledge the product works initially, but any defect triggers frustration with support processes. Additional complaints include regional app availability issues, incompatibility with smart home systems like Google Home, and design problems such as an overly bright camera light that distracts infants. Only a handful of the reviews submitted express satisfaction, and these appear to be conditional on the device functioning without problems. The combination of reliability concerns and poor after-sale support creates a significant trust issue for potential buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentEverything fell apart, honestly. This company is completely untrustworthy. You buy their product as a gift for someone's baby shower and by the time they open it as their baby arrives, the company randomly decides to shut down all their technology and make everything pointless. Even if they invented a cure for everything wrong in the world, I'd never trust them again after this.
DO NOT BUY THIS! I got the sock from a seller and it simply won't register. It's clearly broken and I've tried everything multiple times to make it work. Followed every instruction they gave me. Been back and forth with both the seller and Owlet for about three weeks. Since they're in America I only get one email a day and they refuse to just give me my money back for this defective sock.
Owlet is basically a scam operation. We bought two of their expensive socks plus extra ones for our older kids, thinking we could use them up to age seven. This year they just killed the software to force everyone to buy their new Dreamsock instead, so our investment of nearly a thousand dollars is completely worthless. It's not even that they stopped supporting it. They actively made sure it doesn't function at all anymore. This company is a total scam.
Worst experience ever. I can't even tell you if this product actually works because I couldn't get it to set up in the first place. I've been trying to reach their support team for weeks and they're basically non-responsive, replying once a day if you're lucky and just repeating the same responses over and over. Never seen customer service this bad. The device won't connect to my wifi. Got it connected one time, then it refused to register after that. I'm more frustrated with this purchase than anything I've ever bought. Total disaster from start to finish.
The Cam 2 is absolutely terrible across the board. It's overpriced, the video quality is poor, and the setup is a nightmare. We ran into new problems almost every time we tried to set it up in a different room and never got it working right on the first attempt. No helpful feedback about what was wrong either. Definitely not worth buying.
Wish I'd looked at reviews before buying this junk. We got the dream sock as new parents wanting extra security for our newborn. Thought it would help us relax and feel safer. It doesn't. The sock disconnects constantly making the whole thing basically useless. I've done everything the instructions say and verified settings multiple times. Nothing works. The sock just cuts out after a few minutes and the beeping starts. You can't turn off the beeping when it disconnects, so instead of giving us peace of mind, it goes off every few minutes and stops monitoring. Just a really pricey, broken piece of equipment.
Can't believe we spent this much money on this. Way too expensive. The camera won't even connect and the sock drains its battery overnight, beeping and waking up our baby. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this.
