What Shoppers Say About Paragon Software Group
Paragon Software Group products have earned a rating of 1.8 out of 5 based on 24 shoppers. The vast majority of reviewers report severe problems with installation, software activation, and unresponsive customer support. Many customers describe spending hours unable to get products running on their systems, receiving no help when requesting support, and experiencing licensing issues after company system migrations. A small group of reviewers acknowledge that the underlying software itself is solid when it does work, but note that poor support and reliability issues make the products impractical for both personal and professional use.
A minority of shoppers (17 percent) gave positive ratings, though these favorable reviews are not detailed in available feedback. The predominant complaint pattern centers on broken promises regarding customer service, failed installations across different platforms, unresponsive support teams, and licensing complications that render previously purchased software unusable. Shoppers consistently advise potential customers to consider alternative vendors.

Sorted by: Most recentUsed Partition Manager Community Edition on Windows 10 and it did the trick. My USB drive wasn't being recognized by Windows after I'd used some cloning software that broke the partition table. Registration took some effort, but once I got going the software performed beautifully. It's really functional and user friendly.
Tested the Partition Manager Community Edition on my Windows 10 PC. Had a USB drive that Windows wouldn't recognize after using some disk cloning software that apparently messed with the partition table. The sign-up process was a bit annoying, but the software itself worked amazingly. Really powerful and straightforward to operate.
Bought a lifetime license for NTFS for Mac and it mysteriously vanished from my account. When I contacted their support, instead of fixing it they offered me 30% off to repurchase the software, as though my lifetime license meant nothing. This is wrong. I paid for something and now I can't use it. Don't buy from them unless you're willing to lose what you've already purchased.
Got an NTFS for Mac license thinking it was permanent based on their website wording. Had trouble after a macOS update and needed to reinstall. That's when things got bad. Two years later, my account and license info were just deleted like I never existed. Support sends outdated versions that don't work with current macOS. They keep telling you another team will help but that never happens. This is their standard way of doing business, not an unusual case. I'm done with them because there's nothing stopping them from deleting my account again in a few months. No honesty, just questionable practices. I'd suggest trying other options instead.
The backup tool is seriously flawed. Can't move files, no notes feature, constantly says it's validating something and runs incredibly slow, completion time estimates are way off, the language is confusing and awkward, you can't restore if that backup job already exists, and it straight up failed to write the backup after hours of processing even though it said everything was done successfully.
Got their NTFS for Mac software and it was a nightmare. The thing wouldn't work properly and their support couldn't help. I wasted hours trying to figure things out on my own. Would not recommend this company.
Software hasn't been updated. The latest version came out in 2022 and it's still 17.20.17. Set it up and tested it with a local backup and made a WinPE boot disk. When I tried to use the backup I got an error saying 'Failed to import the backup: Backup set path already exists in database, or intersects with existing backup job'. I don't understand this error and I'm still waiting for Paragon support to respond.
The new interface is really bad. Hard Disk Manager 17 looks totally unprofessional. Some features are missing or hidden without proper documentation. Backup restoration is limited. The backup tool itself works like it always has, but restoring is restricted and the interface is just awful.
Save your money. They overhauled their system and I lost access to software I'd already paid for. It took a couple months for support to finally reply, then I spent weeks trying to activate my purchase and it never actually worked.
Bought an NTFS for Mac license but activation completely failed. I opened multiple support tickets but didn't get real assistance, then they stopped responding entirely. Tried calling their number but nobody picked up. Now I'm fighting to get my money back, though honestly I'm not hopeful. Don't ever purchase from Paragon Software.
