Bought 10 bags of compost but had nobody help me load them. I'd just had heart surgery so I wasn't able to lift that much weight. They tried calling for help three times and no one came. After waiting 15 minutes I went back inside to return everything and had to wait in a huge line. Only one cashier working with six customers ahead of me. They called for more cashiers multiple times but nobody showed up. The store just doesn't have enough people helping customers. Not worth shopping there.

Put in an online order for a water trough and four livestock gates. Got an email two days later saying it was ready for pickup which seemed pretty fast. I called the store to double check whether they had just the trough or the whole order. Got put on hold and the person who answered said everything was there. So I hitched up my trailer to haul the gates. When I showed up they told me only the trough arrived and blamed me, saying new employees didn't understand what a gate was. That's ridiculous, it's a store and any reasonable person knows what a gate is. The assistant manager Tina said it was my fault and offered me nothing for wasting my time. I drove out with a trailer for nothing.

This store is great! I get all my cracked corn, birdseed, and peanuts for the wildlife around my property here. Plus I grabbed some amazing Christmas gifts at incredible prices.

Rural King really is a solid store. The prices are honestly fantastic, especially on firearms, and the team here is super helpful and friendly. It's refreshing to see employees at RK who actually seem like they like their jobs and will make an effort to help out. The Gun Barn staff specifically impress me because they genuinely care about helping people find the right firearms and supporting responsible ownership. You'll find great variety in farm and home supplies plus a decent selection of pet items too.
