Sundance Catalog Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Sundance Catalog
Sundance Catalog is experiencing severe operational difficulties that have resulted in overwhelmingly negative feedback. The vast majority of shoppers report serious problems including months-long shipping delays, orders that never arrive, defective products with quality control issues (misaligned seams, incorrect sizing), unresponsive customer service, and refunds or resolutions that are not being honored. Long-time customers note that these issues represent a dramatic departure from the company's historical performance, with many expressing concerns about the company's viability and whether they will recover their money.
A small number of shoppers reported positive experiences, primarily those who purchased during a clearance sale period and received items promptly at attractive prices. However, these positive reviews are vastly outnumbered by complaints about the company's current state. The consensus among reviewers is to avoid ordering from Sundance Catalog at this time due to unreliable fulfillment, poor quality control, and unresponsive customer support.

Sorted by: Most recentI bought a rug from their website. They confirmed right away that my order went through but the rug was backordered. My order came through May 2nd, and they said the rug would arrive at their warehouse May 16th with delivery 3-4 business days after that. Then I heard nothing except the initial order confirmation. I called customer service on May 30th to ask about my rug. They said I'd get a delivery date within 48 hours, but nothing came. After three calls where they kept saying it was in the warehouse but couldn't give me a date, I finally called again on June 16th and politely asked for any information about my rug, whether they actually have it, where it is, and when it ships. On June 17th I got an email saying they don't even have the rug and they've credited my card. Yet today on their website, they're still advertising and selling the exact same rug.
I posted a review about some things I ordered from this company. Everything turned out to be made in China, and the cotton shirt was scratchy and uncomfortable. When I mentioned this in my review, they blocked it saying it was being "moderated", basically they censored me. I tried to reply to their email but it wasn't a real address I could respond to. I didn't say anything insulting, just that both items were manufactured overseas and weren't quality items. Their product descriptions don't tell you where anything is made either. I won't go back, and I'm donating these clothes to charity. I'm honestly surprised that certain designers allow their products to be sold through this retailer, and I'm considering reaching out to them about my experience.
Sundance used to be reliable, but my recent experience has been disappointing. I bought 2 items in early May and got charged almost $300 right away, even though they told me the items were backordered and would ship by late May. A month passed with no shipment. When I contacted support through their chat, the representative was rude and dismissive. They claimed a refund was already processing, which clearly wasn't true. I won't be ordering from them again.
My wife found a beautiful dress she wanted to wear to our daughter's wedding. When it arrived, the size wasn't right so she sent it back for a larger size. That's when everything went wrong. They kept telling us it was packed and would arrive in 4-5 days, but three months went by with no dress. They blamed their new ordering system. We're really upset about their horrible communication and customer service.
I bought earrings from the catalog for my wife's birthday that she'd been eyeing. Nothing on the website said they were out of stock, but Sundance charged my card right away. I had to place the order and contact their service team to find out what was happening. Almost eight weeks later, well after her birthday had passed, the earrings finally showed up. After reading recent news coverage and looking at other reviews, the situation is crystal clear. While I wish I could support the talented designers who make for Sundance, I won't be ordering from them again.
The jewelry prices here are way too high, especially for a simple leather strand necklace with just a few turquoise discs attached. You could go to the bead district and make ten of these necklaces for the same price they're charging in their current catalog. I'm done shopping here.
What's going on here? I've been buying from Sundance for over 25 years. The company I knew is gone and something completely different has replaced it. Now you need special permission just to return items that look nothing like what's in the catalog. The old quality, the service, the style, it's all disappeared. At least my closets are full of the excellent pieces I bought years ago, so that will keep me set for a long time.
Terrible experience, stay away from Sundance. The customer service is horrible. I'm still waiting for a refund that should have arrived weeks ago after my order came in way late. Plus there's another jacket that still hasn't shown up and no one responds to my emails or calls when I try to cancel. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Total waste of my time and money.
Made a purchase in late April and still haven't gotten a receipt. Customer service is basically nonexistent. I really wish I'd checked reviews before placing this order. This place is a complete scam. Don't shop here.
Purchased 3 items at the end of January. Three days later I get an email saying all 3 are stuck on backorder until mid-April! I only bought these because the website said 7-10 business days delivery, I needed them for our anniversary in February. I sent 3 emails and made 6 phone calls waiting for delivery, always waiting at least 23 minutes each time. The first 2 items came 3-5 days late, and the last one wasn't supposed to arrive until early April but didn't show until mid-May, plus it came with duplicates. I called again and had to wait 24 minutes. The rep told me to box up the extras myself and drop them off at FedEx. I asked them to send someone to pick it up since we live 25 minutes away from their warehouse. They transferred me to escalation and told me to leave my info so they could contact me about their mistake. Unbelievable!
