What Shoppers Say About Woolrich
Woolrich receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 23 shoppers rating the store 1.7 out of 5. The primary complaints center on product quality issues, including discoloration, broken zippers, and water-repellent coatings that fail prematurely. Customers report serious frustration with customer service responsiveness and resolution processes, with refunds delayed for weeks, replacement issues unresolved, and escalation requests dismissed or redirected without meaningful assistance. Several reviewers express concern about the brand's continued use of animal fur in parkas, contrasting unfavorably with competitors' ethical standards.
A small minority of shoppers appear satisfied, but their feedback is outweighed by accounts of defective products at premium price points, poor communication from support teams, and unmet expectations regarding durability and performance. Customers indicate they do not plan to purchase from Woolrich again due to quality standards and service failures.

Sorted by: Most recentThis is hands down the worst quality jacket I've ever purchased. Within a couple of months, I started noticing discoloration around the collar area. I contacted their customer service and they said they'd send a replacement, but I had questions about whether the quality standards had changed. I never got an answer. Two days after I started wearing the replacement, the same discoloration issue appeared. To finally get my money back, I had to return it again. The quality and the customer service were both inexcusable.
I'm done shopping with this company. After dealing with their customer service team, I'm frustrated and disappointed. I sent back a defective sweater in December at their request, and they confirmed they'd issued a refund of about 106 euros. Weeks have passed with no money in my account. Every time I follow up, I get different answers or excuses. Still waiting to see that refund.
I won't be buying from them anymore. I had a problem with a Woolrich jacket regarding quality, and when I tried to get it escalated through customer service, things went nowhere. I specifically asked for a higher level review or an independent assessment, but they kept pushing me back to the store level that had already dismissed my complaint. They wouldn't escalate to headquarters or do any kind of quality check. The whole process felt rigid and unrealistic, especially since the store location is roughly 100 kilometers away. It was frustrating and not customer-friendly. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a pattern with how they handle complaints. That was my last purchase from them.
I purchased a jacket at their New York location for around twelve hundred dollars. The jacket itself is fine, but the zipper, which probably costs a nickel to make, is completely broken and won't move. The warranty covers zipper repairs for two years, so I contacted their online support to ship it for fixing. Their response time was terrible. Days and weeks would go by without hearing anything. Over a three-month period, they kept asking for videos and photos. Eventually, they came back saying they'd approve a refund for local tailor repairs since the original store isn't open anymore. Then they asked me to get a repair invoice and send them a photo along with my banking details. This process has been ridiculously slow and frustrating for what should be a simple warranty claim.
I feel misled about what I was buying. I got a softshell jacket marketed as water-repellent, and it stopped shedding water after less than two minutes in the rain. This jacket cost me 440 euros. When I complained to customer service, they basically dismissed me, saying their quality department confirmed it meets standards. I got no compensation or goodwill gesture of any kind. It's very disappointing coming from a brand that positions itself as premium. I've bought three jackets from them this year, and this will be my last one. If you're thinking about buying from them, think twice. I understand their position that water-repellent and waterproof are different things, but the way they present the product creates expectations that don't match reality when it only works for two minutes. It comes down to being right versus doing right by a loyal customer. I wish them well, but I'm moving on.
I'm concerned that Woolrich continues to rely heavily on fur from animals like foxes, raccoon dogs, and coyotes for their parkas. It's disappointing because most other outdoor apparel companies have moved away from this practice. The brand really needs to update its ethical standards and look at more sustainable options going forward.
I'd suggest avoiding Woolrich coats. I've had mine for just over three years and only wear it occasionally since I rotate between several jackets. Even with light use, the front has faded and become discolored, which looks like a manufacturing defect. When I contacted their customer service, they provided no assistance or repair options. For the price tag on these coats, the quality and customer support are both disappointing. I would not recommend them.
These jackets used to be pricey but would hold up for a long time. I decided to upgrade from my old coat two winters back and was really disappointed. I noticed holes starting to develop on the sleeves, which shouldn't happen on a jacket that costs over 500 euros. Plus, they incorporate Teflon materials that contain PFAS, which aren't ideal for performance wear.
I don't understand how they can position themselves as a high-end brand when their support is laughable. Their products are extremely pricey, but if you have any issues with delivery, refunds, or anything else, they simply don't care. I've never witnessed such careless customer support. They don't answer emails or when they do, they just tell you to keep waiting. I never received the item I paid for because of an issue with the shipping carrier, who claims delivery happened. For the last three weeks, I've been trying to get Woolrich to either refund me or find my package. Since they chose to work with that carrier, they should take responsibility. This has been a horrible experience.
