What Shoppers Say About Terrain
Terrain is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with an overwhelming majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The dominant complaint across reviews centers on severely deficient customer service: representatives are described as unresponsive, unable to answer basic questions, and slow to engage with customer issues. Shoppers report months-long delays in shipping and refunds, unresolved order problems (such as receiving incorrect quantities or damaged items), and unhelpful responses when attempting to resolve issues. Multiple reviewers note they were long-term customers before their recent negative experiences, suggesting a decline in service quality.
Beyond customer service, shoppers cite high pricing relative to product quality, as well as issues with damaged or broken items upon arrival. Complaints about disorganization, lack of follow-through on promised refunds and credits, and the burden placed on customers to manage returns without adequate support from the company are recurring themes. The few positive reviews in the dataset are limited, with most shoppers indicating they would not recommend Terrain based on their experiences.

Sorted by: Most recentAnd I didn't even place an order yet. Their online chat support was useless. I went around in circles for ten or fifteen minutes with someone who couldn't understand my question and kept insisting the measurements were in centimeters when they're clearly in inches. Tried calling their support line and got someone who had no more knowledge than what's already on the website. Maybe it's not their fault but the company really needs to make sure its website is clear and its reps actually have the information they need to help customers with basic questions.
I've been a regular customer for years and even made special trips to visit their physical store. Recently I ordered a replacement for broken Christmas lights and have been chasing them down ever since. It's the night before Christmas and I still don't have it. The customer service has been absolutely the worst I've ever dealt with. It's not the workers themselves, it's the company and how they handle communication and just the basic lack of respect for customers and their money. I'm done shopping there. The one star is only for the individual employees who tried to help.
I bought one item and somehow got four. I did the right thing and notified them immediately. Their response? A return slip via email with a curt have a nice day message. Now I have to print the label, package everything up, and since we're not near a UPS, my husband has to make a special trip to one by his office. They created the problem but made it my responsibility to fix it. Definitely not coming back.
Ordered something back in October for Christmas. It's now Christmas Eve and finally got a response from customer service but they ignored my refund request. Instead they wrote that the item would be in stock January sixth and would ship then. That's completely useless to me at this point. I want my money back. I've shopped with them before and got a gift from them for my daughter this year which arrived fine, but never again. Also they addressed the email to my daughter even though my name is in my email address and it's my account. Just terrible overall.
Skip ordering from Terrain. Prices are way too high for what you get. I received broken and damaged items multiple times. One time they actually told me not to return an item with broken glass and to just throw it out. Then a month later they charged me for not returning it. I called customer service and was told I'd get credit. Then another charge hit a week after. The rep couldn't explain what was going on and kept mentioning something about a recurring charge and that they 'added extra.' When I asked to speak to someone else they said nobody was available. Supposedly getting refunded but I'm not holding my breath. Low quality items plus awful service means I'm never ordering again.
Wish I'd read the reviews first before ordering. I thought being connected to Anthropologie meant they'd have better products and service. Wrong. Everything is totally disorganized and slow. My situation was just like another reviewer described - I got the wrong item, was told I'd get refunded, then got no return instructions until months had passed and I'd already thrown away the unwanted thing. No refund either. Don't waste your time or money here.
Ordered dried flowers and received a dress from their sister brand instead. I contacted them asking what to do about returning the dress and getting my actual order. They did send the correct flowers but never said anything about the dress situation. Months later they charged me for that dress even though I didn't have it anymore. When I got the dress it was three sizes too big so I'd donated it when we moved. Spent weeks trying to work through this with customer service and eventually just gave up. Clearly they're a mess over there. Should've read reviews first. Not going back.
This company operates like a financial service but it's completely fraudulent. I received a payment and when I tried to withdraw it, they asked for a TIN code which scared me even though I don't live in the US. Then they wanted an ABA code supposedly for security. After that came a TAC request by email. The real problem is they want you to transfer funds through a foreign bank account and they'll send money back to your account with them, except you can't touch it because there's always another fee, and another, and another. They give you no phone number, no name, no address, nothing. Your balance keeps growing but it's locked down. Steer clear of this operation.
These garden tools are really designed to sit pretty on a shelf, not to actually be used. I bought some nice looking Portuguese handmade pruning shears and they work okay for cutting, but the clip that holds them closed is cheap metal that bent out of shape right away and doesn't work at all. It's a pain having shears that stay open all the time whether they're in your pocket or sitting in a bucket. The hand rake is really attractive but works no better than a six dollar rake from the hardware store. Buy these for decoration and hang them in your shed to look like a real gardener, but if you want actual tools that work, you'll find better cheaper options elsewhere.
I see some reviews where people actually got to talk to customer service. Where is that phone number? They're just running a scam. They act dumb about emails and pretend they don't understand what you're saying but they know exactly what they're doing. They've got it figured out how to take people's money. Hope these reviews help others avoid throwing their hard earned cash at these liars. Don't shop here. You'll pay but get nothing but the runaround. Never.
