Used it from February through November every single year, at least four times weekly, so this grill has definitely earned its keep. Kept it under a covered shelter the whole time, but this past year I'm seeing rust creeping in on the steel parts. Just recently discovered the ignition system quit working, and honestly not sure if it's the switch or the igniter that's gone bad. The real problem now is trying to find replacement parts. For what it's worth, this was hands down the best grill I've ever owned. It's disappointing they switched away from their stainless steel cooking surface to that coated cast iron approach. Haven't heard great things from folks who bought their newer models either. Guess I'll just keep patching mine up and getting it to last as long as I can.
Had an outstanding experience with their customer support team. They got back to me the very next day and had a replacement part shipped out within four days. While putting together my Professional Power Edition three burner grill, I accidentally broke the connector on one of the igniter wires. Sent them an email and got a same-day reply asking for more details about the product and purchase info. They even provided a detailed parts breakdown so I could identify the exact part by number. Once they had what they needed, they told me they'd send a replacement at no charge. The part showed up two days after that. Happy to say the grill works great now. One star times seventy percent basically. Don't say I didn't warn you based on what other people are saying. We grabbed a BBQ in July and right out of the box a clip was missing. Char-Broil opened up a ticket for it but keeps saying the clip isn't available in their system, which makes zero sense since they're actively manufacturing and selling these grills. Char-Broil is a company I'm done with permanently. Bought an electric smoker back in 2021 and due to some serious health stuff I wasn't able to use it. This year there was a recall notice, and since I got it through an online retailer I was told to go through them. They've been unhelpful and even though I've tracked them down repeatedly they say they can't assist because too much time has passed. Not clear what they would've done anyway. Tried contacting the CEO, no response. Even though Char-Broil has a case registered with my name, I get zero updates. Feel like I wasted a lot of money on something worthless. Char-Broil needs to step up and actually take care of your customers. Hope you read this and do something about it.
Worst customer service I've experienced, or really no customer service at all. We received a BBQ, and when we started building it, we noticed both side tables were the same right side piece. They're clearly different since they have angled cutouts. Figured getting a left side table sent would be straightforward, but nope. Zero response from Char-Broil after submitting the contact form, reaching out on Instagram and Facebook, and trying to call. Fortunately I bought it through Amazon and they saved the day by sending a replacement overnight. Steer clear of this company because if anything goes wrong, you won't be able to reach their support team.
Wish I could give zero stars instead of one. Got a replacement component in for a defective part, but the new one showed up in worse condition than what it was supposed to replace. Two more components also need replacing but seem defective. Over the past month I've sent multiple emails marked urgent to their so-called customer support and gotten absolutely nothing back, not even a confirmation they received my messages. This whole situation has dragged on close to a year. Sent a formal letter to the European management team hoping they'll actually do something about it.
Ordered a controller for my grill with a tracking number sent on 2/13 showing it's waiting with the postal service. It's now 2/25 and the tracking still hasn't changed. Called support and they're putting the blame on the post office. I ship merchandise regularly through online sales and that story just doesn't check out. Would've been better off ordering somewhere else. Lesson learned.
